the moves,you know this is a great way to promote,a brand or product but creating a,dance that goes with it but i know this,isn't for everyone,personally not my cup of tea so let's,move on to the next example,so the next example with this one it's,also straight,pretty straightforward they have,literally just,shown their apparel products overlaid,with a popular song and they've added a,direct,call to action button as part of the ad,which i'll show you how to do,later in this tutorial they have a,buttload of likes,at 200k plus for this specific ad alone,which means they most likely,ran an engagement campaign on tick-tock,but the point here is you don't always,need to have a really fancy you know,dancing tick-tock video to succeed so,this is an example of an ad that works,and it's just a very,simple uh you know apparel video the,next one is,from nike this one's pretty interesting,have you watched this,you know ad loan by itself you're,probably going to wonder,how the heck is this working how does it,drive customers to,buy anything or do anything wouldn't,blame you but,what's going on here is also genius and,can drive virality the goal here is to,get,as many users to repost this as a duet,as you can see here they've reposted it,you know they've got some,engaging dancing going on more people,that repost this as a duet the more,eyeballs,that see this ad and the more traffic,that comes through to your website,so as you can see here with tho

program to,help people build their videos their,build their business with video,and so what i'm doing on tik tok is,that's where i'm drawing like driving my,cold traffic here and i'm going to take,you inside of that,right now and then we'll go through um,after i show you the what what it looks,like here i'm gonna take you inside and,give you an exact process that you can,copy and paste and follow for yourself,so that you can start driving leads,through,uh through through tick tock ads so let,me show you what i'm seeing here,so this is my tick tock ads account,and,um i've been that's the ad level let's,go to the campaign level and i've been,doing a lot of testing and i'm still,testing to be honest with you,but here are the numbers that i am,looking at,so,fourteen thousand impressions on this so,far point four five percent clicks your,rate i'm actually seeing that tick tock,click-through rates are much lower than,the sort of regular one percent,benchmark that we're used to looking,used to looking uh used to looking at,used to be looking at what's wrong with,my what's wrong with the way that i'm,speaking,um,and you see it's a 11 cpa that's,relatively normal in business to,business um and i'm i'm not i'm not in,love with it i'd rather it was somewhere,close to seven or eight,but,on facebook you're lucky to get 20 21 22,these days because of the cpm and look,at my cpm number for b2b here,12.51 usd in all of my tests on facebook,and instagram ads over the past month i,have struggled so much to get cpms which,is the cost of advertising costs to,reach a thousand people,under,literally 60 70,and we're talking about 12 on tick tock,and i actually think this could be quite,improved and it probably it's better as,you drill down so this is the camp this,is the uh this is the campaign and i'm,running this to my you guys can get it,for free here if you just if you just,click the link this is what i'm running,a lead magnet to,but um,you can see here i tried a few different,audiences wasn't loving what i was,seeing and some of the other stuff tick,tock is very touchy about things getting,approved or not and what they like to do,is this,they like to half approve things it's,really weird but i don't see any impact,myself i'll let you know if i do see,impact but i'm actually not seeing any,impact from this partial,it's very strange it's very strange,um so you can see for this,um i spent 138 dollars here two dollar,cost per click or 267 cost per click,12 cpms 52 clicks point four six percent,ctr,uh 13 conversions at 10 68 right and,it's actually more than that because,data and ios 14 and all this stuff um,which is a 25 conversion rate et cetera,et cetera i'm also split testing landing,pages on the back end as well because i,always do that usually very different,landing pages and again as i said we're,sort of early on in this,and the numbers are not blowing you away,i'm sure but they are,really good compared to it's similar to,what you used to be able to get running,facebook and instagram ads,um and you just like you can't do that,now,um 2.40 costs so now as we drill down in,the creative so i tested a very short,creative,um,can i pre i can worldwide  ,with 90 of users using the app multiple times per  day so we can get ourselves in front of our ideal  ,customer multiple times a day on average now as  of january 2021 tick tock raked in 128 million in  ,user spending marking an increase of 380 from its  january 2020 revenue so it's growing year on year  ,almost 4x in user revenue now take top ranks  as the second biggest app in consumer spend  ,above youtube disney plus and netflix this  is probably the uh the biggest stat on this  ,screen ranking above youtube and netflix in  consumer spend is absolutely ridiculous so  ,it's a monumental opportunity for people and  businesses to sell their products on the platform  ,how many times have you spoken to someone they've  said ah i found that product on tick tock it's  ,happening a lot these days so let's jump on to how  you can actually make the most of that so this is  ,the tick tock ad structure so at the top we have  tick tocks ad manager then we have ad campaigns  ,we have ad groups we have ad creative and then  landing pages to break these down one by one tick  ,doc ads manager is where you manage your ticktock  advertising account similar to the facebook  ,ad manager now a ad campaign is the foundation  of your ad so we're setting up our advertising  ,objectives and formats we then have ad group which  is target audiences ad placements budget and the  ,bidding then we have the ad creative which is  the text and the video that will appear on our  ,apps what we're physically seeing then finally our  landing page and this is the destination url that  ,we are driving our potential customers too this  is the place where they will actually buy our  ,products or service so when you actually have your  tick tock ad account up and running this hey guys so i'm getting a lot of,questions on how to set up an ad account,and how to set up an agency account and,business center and issues with um ad,accounts not spending so i wanted to,just jump in here and give you guys a,brief overview of how to create if,you're running ads for clients or you,want to run ads for clients then what,you're going to need is this agency,business center account so it's very,similar to if you're familiar with,facebook at all it's very similar to the,business manager in facebook so for,example we use an agency business,manager,inside of our facebook account and with,that agency business manager,we request access we request partner,access to all of our clients ad accounts,so that means that we don't have to,create the ad accounts for them we don't,have to have ownership of the ad,accounts and if and when the,relationship um you know separates and,maybe they bring it in house or they,stop running ads they can just take all,the information and,they own that asset so it's very,important to have your own ad account,and if you and for your clients to have,their own ad accounts and,if you are an agency running ads for,clients you do not want to be creating,the ad accounts for them under your,business center um because as far as i,know you can only create one ad account,per business center that might change um,in the future it may have already,changed but i know for us we could only,create one ourselves so,what i did is i did a lot of research,because i was really confused about this,as well and i know friends of mine who,are facebook marketers by trade and now,getting into tick tock marketing are,having some issues with this too so i,kind of did like a deep dive one,afternoon to figure it out i watched a,lot of youtube videos and because they,have these the way that it's structured,is a little bit differently than um than,facebook because they have um a few,different like types of business center,accounts,and like one for solo businesses another,for agencies that are managing multiple,different accounts so this is,specifically for,agency business centers where you're,managing multiple different ad accounts,and you need to request access to those,accounts so you can manage them inside,of your business center so,um i have got the two articles that i,used to,walk myself step by step through the,setup process and then also walk my,clients through the setup process so,number one is going to be to create your,agency business center and the reason,again why you do this is because you,want to be able to manage your clients,campaigns but you don't want to have,ownership of their ad account so,you're going to,go through these steps i'll share the,article with this video,so we don't take up too much time here,but from your personal account you're,going to create your business account,and then once you've created your,business account,you're going to go through the steps of,requesting access to an ad account now,if you have a client that does not yet,have an ad account what you're going to,do is i'll share this article as well,but i recommend sharing this article,with your clients so that they can walk,through it on their own if they're tech,savvy my clients largely are not tech,savvy so i have to actually get on a,video call with them,and do a screen share and walk them,through all of this right so,um you want to start with them on a,screen share share this link right here,and have them create a page,or create their own uh,tiktok ad account,and they're going to have to go through,a whole process which includes getting,the,business account,set up getting it verified adding in all,of their information they're gonna have,to create a login with their email,address password,um they're going to need to enter their,business information they need to have,their legal information ready so they do,require an ein number i think it's just,the last four of like the social,security number or last four of the ein,number i don't remember,um,but they do need to include their,business information,and then they'll register,and um super important here once they,have their ad account set up they are,going to need to and once they've got,their their business information entered,they i recommend,having them verify their business,account it's the same with facebook,y'all if you don't verify the business,account you're going to run into issues,at some point down the line i guarantee,it so just have them verify the business,account again they're just going to have,to upload some official documents which,is fine it's easy they should have it,readily available on their computer um,and then most importantly have them add,their payment method because these ads,are being billed via tick tock to your,client you do not want to pay for ad,spend through your ad account,um at least i don't that's that's not,how i run my business and i don't,recommend it um because it's just that don't really know how to,navigate the new tracking system or the,new tracking methods uh but having said,that right i think one of the reasons,why uh there's a big argument for,techdog is simply because where the,content is heading right um you know i i,know the platform quite well i've been,able to to build up a pretty large,following uh uh in tech talk and i think,short form content is here to stay and,that is why i think tick tock ads is a,great offering because,that's really where the content is,heading right and so if you're able to,create organic um native content on that,platform i think you can have a lot of,success uh with it right um,obviously we're gonna talk about the,pros and cons but that is one pro which,is the fact that it plays to,the uh you know the sort of content that,is popping right now which is the short,form vertical content,yeah no you i think you're you're right,you hit it on the head with the,the people struggling with facebook,maybe don't understand the tracking but,also like,i think they just the ones that are,really struggling just don't understand,creatives and you're right like tick,tock the short form vertical style,that's why they came out with facebook,reels they're pushing that really hard,i think facebook is still you can still,succeed on it again it um you just gotta,have the content strategy right content,the copy the offer itself like if you,have,i think a lot of there's a lot of noise,in the space i think,um by just a lot of you know agencies,out there people that,you know maybe have worked with a client,or two and didn't see success because,again they didn't have those things,dialed in and then they just they start,screaming after oh this ship is sinking,but then there's the,you know the i won't name drop anyone,from mentorship but there's the mentees,just out there killing it because they,they do have that fundamental,understanding yeah yeah and i think that,that's that's the catch here right like,the pro is the fact that tick tock has,you know placed to the the content that,is working right now but if you're able,to,take inspiration from that content and,apply it to facebook ads facebook,inevitably has a more mature a more,seasoned platf platform right they have,more targeting methods right uh whereas,stick talk is a little bit on if on that,at least that front the media buying,front the data front is a little bit on,its um infancy right,so if you're able to take the learnings,from the content that is working on tick,tock right and apply it to facebook,that's really where you hit the nail on,the head right and that's what we've,been doing for not only our clients but,my brands as well right a lot of the the,ads that we actually like to run are,obviously vertical real ads but we also,take the exact same formatting literally,the tick tock font right the short you,know short form kind of like quick paced,um style and we do that for horizontal,videos and we put that on the feed as,you know is the new kid on the blog usually we're  heavily reliant on facebook because it's such an  ,incredible marketing tool but lots of people are  getting heaps of success with the new entertaining  ,nature of tick tock ads so it might be perfect  for your brand this video is perfect for beginners  ,we're not going to skip any steps but i'm also  going to go into some advanced things around  ,content because that is so important to make sure  that you make tick tock ads work the first step  ,you're going to want to do is set up your shopify  store if you haven't set up your shopify store  ,just pause the video click the link in my bio and  set it up now we've got one set up through our  ,lemon scrub series so it's got most of the things  ready we're just going to make sure that we set up  ,tiktok properly so the pixel is firing once you're  in shopify the best way to go is go into apps and  ,just write in tiktok simply download the official  tiktok app and click add sales channel this is the  ,exact same as facebook nowadays this will bring  up this little tick tock section down on the left  ,hand store of your shopify store if you don't have  shopify still carry on watching we're going to get  ,into the nitty gritty in a second once this is set  up we can click this section here setting up the  ,pixel the next step you can see that it's saying  connect tick tock for business this is where you  ,need a new tick tock account already have a tick  tock business account you can just click connect  ,but today we're gonna have to create a brand new  one so i'm just gonna click create new at the top  ,enter my email address get the verification code  sent into the verification code here agree to  ,terms and conditions and just click sign up you  can click connect down the bottom right and that's  ,now created an ads manager business manager under  that email we can click create new ad account and  ,we can select the country and the currency that we  want to be built in this is generally the region  ,that you want to be targeting change the business  name to something a little bit simpler click sign  ,up and connect you'll come to this data sharing  section which we've touched on a few times in my  ,previous episodes just click enhanced or maximum  providing you've got the terms and conditions set  ,up for something and then click confirm maximum  is obviously preferred this is how shopify shares  ,data with ticktock this is referred to as capi  which is a partnership between shopify and the  ,advertising platform click set up enter your final  details make sure you connect automatic payment  ,click confirm and you should be ready to go now  to create tick-tock ads we're actually going to  ,have to go back to the tick-tock ads manager so  we can go ads.tichtalk.com you can see that our  ,ad account has already been created to make sure  that we do have the pixel set up properly what i  ,do recommend is going to your website and just  like facebook there's something called tic toc  ,pixel helper and it's a chrome extension that you  can download and check if your pixel is firing  ,on your website if it's not you may need to go  and fix that initially just download the chrome  ,extension and you can see that our tick tock pixel  is set up here shopify set it up for us and it  ,should be firing this is a page view because we're  on a page when you add a product to cart it should  ,fire the add to cart pixel or if someone purchases  you can test a purchase and it will also fire that  ,pixel in the exact right way so now we're in  the tiktok ads account we can go ahead and  ,create our first campaign campaign structures  are really important to talk about it's what  ,separates good advertisers from
