be,covering the top five ways you can learn,from the lessons that i have after,spending six hundred thousand dollars on,tick tock ads,hello everyone my name is chase chapel,your favorite digital marketer here,let's get into this video so these are,the lessons from spending 600 000,dollars in tick tock ads and i would,have been far better off if i had,already learned these lessons in advance,or had somebody to really guide me,through the process of understanding,what it is that make tick tock ads,convert how to structure the audiences,and all of the learnings that we've had,from other platforms to be able to be,successful on tick tock ads and that's,exactly what i'm going to be doing today,is i'm going to be walking you through,the top five things that are going to,allow you automatically have a competitive,advantage over other tick tock,advertisers and the reason for this lift,and conversions is because that's enough,time for you to deliver information in a,concise way to the actual consumer that,might be purchasing your product or the,business that might actually be you know,choosing to work with your service and,you want to time it between 21 to 34,seconds you don't want it to be overly,long you don't want it to be overly,short,so definitely try to be within this,range because you are going to see much,better conversions by doing so and this,is data that ticktalk actually has from,you know hundreds of thousands of,advertisers that are actually already on,the platform and we're seeing this with,our results too videos that are between,21 to 34 seconds do actually convert,better,and we also see that the 9 16 aspect,ratio does help with lifting conversions,that is vertical video y'all you'll want,to make sure you have vertical video you,don't want to try to apply square video,and have these black spaces in between,the actual video you want to make sure,that these videos are actually vertical,tick tock is a vertical placement so you,want to make sure your content actually,fits for tick tock so make sure you have,a 9x16 aspect ratio in your actual,videos that is simply filming on your,phone that's the best way to do it to,actually keep the vertical video in,check and that resolution is actually,going to be higher and that actually,leads us to the next point if your video,is actually above 720p you're going to,see a 312 lifting conversion so if you,just apply these three things you're,going to see you know 280 lift and 91,left and even up to a 312 percent lift,in conversions by having hd video if you,upload a very low quality video the back,door is this you're likely going to get,much less conversions than other,accounts would and if you have ads that,are actually converting now with a low,quality video well if you just upgrade,the quality you could be seeing much,better conversions at the exact same,cost the next thing is number two and,that's tick tock user generated content,this is very big because you have,branded ads and you have spark ads,branded ads are essentially what you see,here this is an ad by go clove and you,know their shoe brand and they have,these actual you know branded outline,where hey welcome back into another video here,on the channel today,i'm going to be talking about what the,key differences are,between facebook ads tick tock ads the,platforms have,phenomenal differences between them,there's certain situations where you,could use both,but i want to outline the pros the cons,the differences and things that you're,aware of so you could,literally today go ahead and launch ads,on one of these platforms potentially,both if you know me if you follow the,channel for a while,you know that i always recommend,learning one thing first in an,advertising and marketing,world you are going to get the best,results when you dominate one platform,first the reason for that,is most paid ad platforms you know,outside of you know paying a youtube,influencer for a huge shout out,things like google ads facebook guys tic,toc anything like that where there's,pixels involved and it's data driven,if you can build a ton of data from tick,tock ads,and you also had your facebook and,google pixel on the store the whole time,well transitioning from tick tock to,facebook is going to be easy because you,already have,3 000 sales on the pixel season data,facebook knows who your customer is you,can build lookalike and retargeting,audiences right away,it's going to be an easy migration so,just keep that in mind really focusing,on one thing otherwise you kind of get,lost in the sauce as they say too,distracted now between the two platforms,there's huge differences number one,understand first and foremost that if,you go with facebook you will run into,problems with being disabled,for no reason restricted for no reason,and potentially banned,for no reason it got to the point where,about a year and a half ago i had to,start remote accessing other computers,on different servers,using dozens of other people's facebook,profiles across hundreds of different ad,accounts with multiple backup pixels on,everything,we're talking about an infrastructure,that costed about 65 000 to build,and about 15 000 a month to manage and,maintain,that's not advertising cost that is,structure cost,so that's what i had to do to get around,stuff because i was doing,nothing wrong i was selling stuff that,wasn't showing any skin,it wasn't remotely close to violin in a,policy but that's facebook for you it's,hard to explain and as someone who,you know if you don't run ads that might,sound crazy and weird to you but that is,truly just what the platform is be,prepared for a world of headaches,here's why facebook is a great option,though it's,really not that hard to master okay,excuse me there it's really not that,hard to make money with,anything like that is difficult to,master but it's a platform,that in my opinion is the lowest cost,to start if you want to start something,from scratch with tick tock ads or start,something from scratch with google,based on my experience it's going to,take you more money,to do that okay and there's certain,products on tick tock where it just,might pop off faster,but in my experience facebook at least,with the skills that i have is,pretty simple to get the ball rolling,with you know inside of our e-commerce,program we put a lot of attention on,facebook for a simple reason,any business owner that's getting,started you need cash flow,without cash flow your business can't,survive you need positive money coming,in,right total gross revenue expenses,there's your profit left you need a,profit margin with that you can now,venture into other things and it makes,making more money even easier because,now you can do all sorts of different,things that cost money,so facebook is probably going to be the,best option for you,if you are looking for extreme,consistency if you want to grow it,really slowly,and if you also want something that is,probably targeted towards a more,specific audience,and ideally an audience that's 35 years,old or older,that is the prime category my main brand,inside the health and orthopedic space,we service about 65 of our customers are,35 and above,the rest of those out of that 35,probably 25,of them are like probably 28 and above,so it's very,rare that they're in the 25 year old and,under,category it's very rare that that,happens and,this made tick tock ads not very,efficient because tick tock is just a,younger platform,that's all it is it's also a platform,that is very,general from an advertising perspective,so go go ahead open a business account,on tick tock,you can see it doesn't cost you anything,and you'll see instantly the similarity,how they literally ripped off facebook,and it's a it's a exact format copy,which makes it easy to run if you're,familiar with facebook but tick tock is,probably going to work the best for you,if you have a more,general viral organic type product you,know things that are,led light strips led light bulbs um,you're just crazy little phone cases,anything that can kind of go viral you,know like,the lighters that are electric and don't,use any gas or butane i sold like 600,grand

find out,so a couple of weeks ago i shot a video,together with you guys,showing you exactly how i was setting up,our first ever tick-tock,ad campaign together remember that so,once we created that ad as well as the,creatives,when we ran the ad some of you asked so,what happened so this,is what happened okay today in this,video i'm going to walk you through an,exact apple to apple comparison meaning,we literally took the same ad put it on,tick tock and we took the same ad,and we put it on facebook by the end of,this video you will know,exactly what it is that you should be,doing and exactly what you should not be,doing,when it comes to tick-tock ads so let's,talk about,what happened the numbers which is the,winner,and you're gonna be able to see exactly,what it is that you need first step of,the funnel was,registering for the webinar,and then after they registered for the,webinar this would be the webinar,confirmation page,and after they register for,it that is when they would,attend this live webinar,and after it's live this was an,automated webinar,um and after they attended that is when,they would head over to the checkout,page right so a simple,four-step typical webinar or,presentation funnel,so what we did was we created,an exact ad campaign with the same ad,creatives same video one on facebook,okay and then the next thing that we did,was we ran the same thing with the same,video same write-up same,ad creative on tick-tock okay which is,basically,the thing that we did together if you've,watched that video where we were,creating that tick-tock,video together and this ad over here,sent people to this,funnel okay so let's take a look at some,numbers,now that we understand the big picture,of the sales process,so on the screen you will see that this,ad campaign this is literally a new ad,account right so i'm literally,discovering this together with you guys,so that you can learn through,my mistakes and you don't have to go,through the usual trial and error,and you can see that on this,five day window we have spent about 2,600 now this is in ringgit malaysia is,the ad account where we created so for,those of you outside of malaysia that's,about 800 us dollars converted no wait,that's about 650 700 right,so in this five day window i'm gonna,walk you through the pros and cons and,some of the things that i discovered,i'm doing this okay let's talk about,pros and cons first,advantage of doing and setting this up,is that you will see it's actually very,simple to use and it looks like,facebook right the entire setup,literally looks if you take a look at this,number here which is the most,important number you can see it says cpa,now what is cpa it's basically your cost,per action,how much did it cost you to get a,specific action now this action could be,a sale it could be a lead it and in this,case here because of the,the funnel that i showed you this the,action was basically registering,for a a webinar okay so this is,basically about,eight dollars okay so heading back over,here,we can see that the action that we set,the conversion,for tick tock is approximately,eight dollars and by the way if you stay,till the wanted to showcase,you guys exactly what i've learned and a,few,entry-level things to help you if you're,just starting out with tic toc ads and,how you can get started today so before,we get started make sure you hit that,like button and hit that subscribe,button,i'm posting new videos every other day,to help financially empower the shopify,business owner and help them scale to,the moon in 2021.,let's get started,diving straight into the tik tok ads,manager,it's very similar to facebook's ads,manager pretty much all of them tick,tock,linkedin even twitter they're all pretty,similar,to facebook's ads manager the only one,different is google adwords and that's,just a whole nother video for another,day,so just jumping right into it we'll go,ahead and just create a campaign and,show you guys a few things,so they do have a few limited objectives,which you can,optimize for we're still doing,conversions uh which is your standard,like purchase at the cart,view content etc but they do have a few,other ones like reach,traffic and video views so we'll call,our top our campaign,just call it tests and you can do you,know kind of like a budget for it if you,want to spend like a lifetime budget,similar to how facebook does it and then,you can do an a b,testing strategy so hit continue and,just like facebook you have your ad,group,which is your ad set and you can just,slowly start,diving right into it now just like,facebook your ad group,is your ad set so we'll go ahead and,just name this you know,test and with the promotion type we want,to select,website and just like facebook select,your,pixel now there is a app for shopify,that hooks up to your tick tock ads,manager,to where you can sync the pixel and,everything like that super,simple very similar to the facebook app,with like server side integration all,that stuff so we'll go ahead and select,our pixel and for the optimization event,tech stock's a little,different they don't have a purchase one,they have a complete payment and at,first i thought this was similar to like,ad payment info,so i cross referenced all my orders on,shopify with the orders on tick tock,which are considered,again complete payments and i made sure,they lined up exactly and they do,so it is complete payment is the,purchase event,on tick tock now again all the other,ones are pretty similar i'm not sure why,they did that one as complete payment,and not like,purchase or complete order or new order,something like that that's very,interesting to keep everything else the,same and yeah so you select your events,now i have gotten some advice from a few,people,in groups i'm in and just trying to,learn more about tick tock and something,that's worked really well,for people is testing multiple different,events so with facebook you just,launch new campaign even if you had no,doubt at all you would launch a purchase,event and it would still outperform,everything else,with tick tock they're recommending to,test,multiple events and going broad as you,can,for targeting so you would do a complete,payment ad set you'll do,a as a cart ad set and you do initiate,checkout ad set,along the side and i do have some,results to show you guys exactly how,that worked out for me at least,so we're gonna choose optimization of,complete payment for this specific,video and if we scroll down we can see,right here is placements now take doc,doesn't have,like news feed stuff like that so it's,just tick tock that's it,our news feed app series which is just,like different particular apps,i just turn all that off and do,specifically just tick tock to have my,videos on it now you can do user comment,user download,to where like people can download your,video kind of like redo you know things,with your video and stuff like that or,comments i'm personally,okay with that but you might work with a,client or you might have a brand that,you're not okay with that you can turn,it off we won't we don't really know the,effect on performance it has but,that's definitely something you can look,at that now automatic creative,optimization,from what i heard this is exactly like,dynamic,creatives on facebook's side but,apparently it works,10 times better and that's just through,again looking through some of the groups,i'm in that's done really well,with tick tock ads getting advice from,others dynamic creative optimization or,automated creative optimization exactly,the same thing as diamond creative ads,is that they do a lot better of a job,and they'll actually turn off things,that don't work whereas facebook would,just leave things on,that's not working now au

we went from zero to 1k days with this,new tick tock ads method that we,developed and i can almost guarantee you,that if you're not using the strategy,you definitely should because this can,take your 11 to 1200 dollars in daily,revenue all from tick tock ads which is,pretty incredible because it was only,within a 30 day timeline that we were,able to make this happen for this brand,so this strategy is pretty impactful and,it's absolutely insane the results that,you can get with the strategy and i'm,going to break down every metric behind,it,so just to show you a little bit about,this we started around the third with,this actual account here and you can see,that they were doing zero dollars per,day with this brand new store and we,started running tick tock ads there was,a couple cells every day and then we,started to really dial in the campaigns,and you can see from there forward every,single day was just growing and growing,and growing and now,every single day we're averaging,literally 1k days and it's pretty,incredible because you can actually see,here,one thousand dollar day eight hundred,dollar day,twelve hundred dollar day this is a,thousand dollar day almost every single,day hitting almost a thousand a day with,literally just about two hundred dollars,in ad spend and being able to get a,pretty incredible return and ad spin,from that and you can see here that the,actual online store conversion rate has,quite literally exploded and they tried,other platforms but they just weren't,getting the success but once we,implemented this tick tock ad strategy,results absolutely took off making their,store convert way better and us hitting,the actual audiences we need and that's,exactly what we're going to be covering,is the exact campaign breakdown in tick,tock so when we hop over into our tick,tock ads manager you can see quite,literally here we spent about 257,dollars to make twelve hundred dollars,with tick tock ads and there's two,campaign structures that we really,focused on here in our tick tock ads,manager and that is our open testing,campaign and our actual retargeting,campaign open testing is where we're,going after new individuals that haven't,heard about the brand before so that way,we can reach them and people will,convert from that and then once we've,built up that avenue we use what is,called a retargeting audience where we,re-target those people who have already,watched the video who've actually,clicked on the ad and actually get them,to re-engage with that same content to,actually make a purchase and i'm going,to show you all how to set up these,exact campaigns that we're using to be,successful with tick tock ads and just,to show you some more data here we're,averaging you know really low cost per,cpms around the four dollar range that,means for every 1 000 people we reach,we're making you know about four dollars,to spend to reach those thousand and,then cost per click is you know really,low below the one dollar mark most of,you are running facebook ads and have a,very high cost per click and this is a,good strategy because we've literally,you know are reaching a ton of people,every single day and on average we're,doing anywhere between eight and 15,conversions with this actual campaign,and here our average cost per result and,then we have you know our add to carts,we're getting a lot of add to cart so,that's a big opportunity which is why,i'm going to show you all how to set up,this actual retargeting so when we go,into our open testing we have different,audiences that we set up and right how much does a successful Tick,Tock ad campaign cost well we're going,to dive into my screen here I'm going to,share with you guys one particular,campaign that has been working,phenomenally well for one of our Tick,Tock clients we actually generated 51,book calls so one thing to understand is,that this account is for a book called,funnel this is the main kpis sales are,just part of the process we obviously,are want to add optimize for sales but,book calls is what we're going after,here so I'm just going to quickly talk,about this because you know it's a,question of how much do I need to spend,on Tick Tock right that's the answer,that you want is how much should I spend,on take that home how much do I need in,terms of budget to be able to make Tick,Tock work for my brand and that's,actually going to depend right and I,know that's not the best answer right,it's a cop-out answer is oh it depends,but in reality that's that's what it is,right so what type of offer do you have,is it an e-commerce offer do you have a,high ticket offer such as this one that,I'm displaying right here is for a high,ticket offer okay uh is your offer local,right so there are different things,there are different kpis different,objectives that will let's say give you,Clarity in terms of the budget and how,to budget for these campaigns so one is,not going to be the right answer to,every single offer on Tick Tock so I can,only speak of maybe from our experience,what has been let's say the a driver for,success in terms of this Tick Tock,campaign and maybe how much was spent,but you should really do an analysis of,you know what your numbers are and I,think that's the better answer for for,this is what are your numbers what's,your average order value would your,customer lifetime value what is your,minimal cost per acquisition that you,can get right that you need to get by,right so like if you're over twenty,dollars GPA and you're losing money then,what's the point right so you need to,really understand uh your numbers before,you can answer that question so you know,I can quickly share with you guys here I,mean this is six sales for example 22,900 in Revenue but these are sales that,are hired on the higher ticket side,and this is 51 calls right so obviously,from the 51 calls six sales took place,you know we're getting leads for 21,right so like for other people like 20,leads may not be uh profitable right,that may not be ideal uh they would need,to get three dollar leads five dollar,leads which is possible with Tick Tock,but you can
