people are seeing with tick tock ads,you know two three years ago on youtube,a lot of the other content creators in,the ecommerce space were heavily pushing,facebook ads because that was the main,platform everyone was advertising their,dropshipping stores on but now,especially in 2022 it does appear to be,tick-tock now i've tried tik-tok this,year i think i said in my last video i,have only spent about two to three,thousand pounds which is about three and,a half four thousand dollars on that,platform but i've got a good idea of how,it works i've also watched a lot of,content tick-tock related and i've,picked up a lot of negative things that,even those people are saying that are,linked with that platform as well so,whether you're starting your ecom drop,shipping journey or if you've already,got a store making some sales this is a,good video to watch because as in all my,other videos i always recommend google,ads now the first pointer here guys is,consistency if you've watched any other,google ads before you'll know this is,something that all the other people are,saying as well and with me it's no,different you can see the first point,here i've had some products from the,very beginning especially on my uk site,that have been consistent for two to,three years now we just hop over to this,report here quickly on uh shopify this,is my uk website uh this is my best,selling product i'm obviously gonna blow,out the name and stuff because it's my,best seller and i started this store in,uh july 2020 which is why the report is,july 2020 obviously to present day i'm,making this video on august 7th and you,can see i have sold just under 12 000,units of this product with a total sales,volume of 343,000 pounds which i think is about 450,000 and this isn't something that peaks,for one month a year or only did well,for one month just randomly because of a,trend this is a consistent product that,has been selling for me from the get-go,on this website and it still continues,to be my best seller every single day i,only launched my us site at the start of,last year and this product in the us on,that site is also my best seller on that,website so it's a global product there's,global demand and it's consistent all,year round now products i've tested on,tick tock have done well for a few days,sometimes up to a couple of weeks and,then i see major ad fatigue very quickly,this is where your ad ends up showing to,the same people over and over again no,new faces are seeing it and eventually,that audience just loses interest and,that product stops converting this can,be quite common with facebook as well,but i do often see facebook ads last a,little longer than two weeks sometimes,four to six weeks is the time frame,before you have to start pumping out new,content and testing new ad creatives but,with google being a search based,platform with shopping ads and search,ads as well you're not having to show,people you know a wide variety of videos,you're not having to pump out all this,content on a weekly sometimes even daily,basis just to keep your sales ticking,over now number two guys here we've got,evergreen,boring products some of the best,products that do well on google are,boring products it doesn't sound fancy,that is just how it is some some of my,best sellers are very boring but,obviously with tick tock products they,are very impulsive purchases they grab,your attention whilst on tick tiktok and,they're often silly products that don't,always solve a problem but people like,the look of them and they want that,quick satisfaction they want to purchase,it because it looks cool i mean let's,take this product here we've all seen a,tick stock ad for this fire diffuser,product it doesn't really solve a,problem it's gotten very popular because,it's just a cool looking product and,even on google there are clearly so many,drop shippers selling this particular,product here and because tick tock is,very impulsive when it comes to people,buying from ads this results in lower,ticket items that you can sell on tick,tock because the higher the price of a,product the more thought there is behind,that purchase for a customer if,something's a hundred pounds or a,hundred dollars

of whatever software,that we're promoting now the reason this,works so well is because when we're,finding a software that has no ads,running to it already that basically,means there's no competition for us plus,when people are typing in the name of,the software so for example if people,are typing in builder all into google,most likely they're thinking about,buying builder all so when they click on,our ad it goes to our affiliate link,that traffic is already really warm we,don't really have to do any selling we,just kind of have to be there and put,our affiliate link right before they're,about to buy all right so let's go ahead,and get started with this so the first,thing you're going to do is you're just,going to go to a website called,capterra.com and captera literally has,thousands and thousands of different,softwares that we can choose from to,actually promote so all you're going to,do is go into software categories and,we're going to press browse all,categories and now all i'm going to do,is i'm going to scroll down here and i'm,going to choose a random category to,find products in so i'm just going to,scroll around and let's do a random one,so,let's do something we've heard of uh,let's try landing page software okay so,now as you can see there's going to be,all kinds of products and different,softwares inside of this single category,right so now what we want to do is we,want to find a software that we haven't,heard of that's like not too big out,there so for example uh vwo testing i've,never heard of it so let's go ahead and,test this one out so all i'm going to do,is i'm going to copy the name and then,i'm just going to paste this in right so,i'm just going to paste it into google,as you can see right off the bat,right we can see that there's an ad,right here so this means that it's,already too competitive right we want to,find a software keyword that has,absolutely no ads running so i'm gonna,go back and we're gonna keep scrolling,down here um let's see,so i don't want to do one with zero,reviews because that probably means,there's no demand at all,um so let's try one like i am platform,so i'm just going to copy this i'm gonna,paste it in okay so this might be a,decent one as you can see there's no ads,running here so now the next step once,we see that this software doesn't really,have any competition right i'm just,gonna go and search affiliate program to,see if they have an affiliate program um,that we can actually you know promote,with so i'm gonna click on this article,okay so it looks like there's two ways,to join um you can either be a customer,or you have to contact them so this is,just gonna take too many steps i don't,really want to sign up for the software,since i'm not really going to actually,use it so let's just move on to another,software but i could take the time to,actually sign up or contact them to,actually be an affiliate of the software,and start running ads this potentially,so,let's keep going on let's do so a little,bit more research just to kind of show,you guys uh how this process works right,so let's try another one up flowy i've,never heard of that before,i'm just going to paste this in again,right again we want to see if there's,any ads running it looks like there,isn't now the only thing i don't like,about this one what i'm seeing is,um as we can see there's only 390,searches per month for the software so,the demand is pretty low so we're,probably not going to get too many,clicks and sales every day but this,could potentially bring us in an extra,200 per month or something like that but,it doesn't have the ability to scale to,a thousand or anything like that so,we're gonna keep moving on here let's,try another one right so i'm going to,keep going down let's try this one i've,never heard of this,so i'm just going to copy this paste it,in once again and okay i like this one,see how there's no ads running and,there's 6 600 searches entertaining  ,nature of tick tock ads so it might be perfect  for your brand this video is perfect for beginners  ,we're not going to skip any steps but i'm also  going to go into some advanced things around  ,content because that is so important to make sure  that you make tick tock ads work the first step  ,you're going to want to do is set up your shopify  store if you haven't set up your shopify store  ,just pause the video click the link in my bio and  set it up now we've got one set up through our  ,lemon scrub series so it's got most of the things  ready we're just going to make sure that we set up  ,tiktok properly so the pixel is firing once you're  in shopify the best way to go is go into apps and  ,just write in tiktok simply download the official  tiktok app and click add sales channel this is the  ,exact same as facebook nowadays this will bring  up this little tick tock section down on the left  ,hand store of your shopify store if you don't have  shopify still carry on watching we're going to get  ,into the nitty gritty in a second once this is set  up we can click this section here setting up the  ,pixel the next step you can see that it's saying  connect tick tock for business this is where you  ,need a new tick tock account already have a tick  tock business account you can just click connect  ,but today we're gonna have to create a brand new  one so i'm just gonna click create new at the top  ,enter my email address get the verification code  sent into the verification code here agree to  ,terms and conditions and just click sign up you  can click connect down the bottom right and that's  ,now created an ads manager business manager under  that email we can click create new ad account and  ,we can select the country and the currency that we  want to be built in this is generally the region  ,that you want to be targeting change the business  name to something a little bit simpler click sign  ,up and connect you'll come to this data sharing  section which we've touched on a few times in my  ,previous episodes just click enhanced or maximum  providing you've got the terms and conditions set  ,up for something and then click confirm maximum  is obviously preferred this is how shopify shares  ,data with ticktock this is referred to as capi  which is a partnership between shopify and the  ,advertising platform click set up enter your final  details make sure you connect automatic payment  ,click confirm and you should be ready to go now  to create tick-tock ads we're actually going to  ,have to go back to the tick-tock ads manager so  we can go ads.tichtalk.com you can see that our  ,ad account has already been created to make sure  that we do have the pixel set up properly what i  ,do recommend is going to your website and just  like facebook there's something called tic toc  ,pixel helper and it's a chrome extension that you  can download and check if your pixel is firing  ,on your website if it's not you may need to go  and fix that initially just download the chrome  ,extension and you can see that our tick tock pixel  is set up here shopify set it up for us and it  ,should be firing this is a page view because we're  on a page when you add a product to cart it should  ,fire the add to cart pixel or if someone purchases  you can test a purchase and it will also fire that  ,pixel in the exact right way so now we're in  the tiktok ads account we can go ahead and  ,create our first campaign campaign structures  are really important to talk about it's what  ,separates good advertisers from bad advertisers  that alongside really effective marketing content  ,the basic structure is you have a campaign which  is what objective you are striving for if you've  ,got something like a real estate business  it might be leads you're trying to collect  ,leads but we've got a e-commerce business  so we want to get purchases then you've  ,got the ad set level which is basically the consumer spend  ,above youtube disney plus and netflix this  is probably the uh the biggest stat on this  ,screen ranking above youtube and netflix in  consumer spend is absolutely ridiculous so  ,it's a monumental opportunity for people and  businesses to sell their products on the platform  ,how many times have you spoken to someone they've  said ah i found that product on tick tock it's  ,happening a lot these days so let's jump on to how  you can actually make the most of that so this is  ,the tick tock ad structure so at the top we have  tick tocks ad manager then we have ad campaigns  ,we have ad groups we have ad creative and then  landing pages to break these down one by one tick  ,doc ads manager is where you manage your ticktock  advertising account similar to the facebook  ,ad manager now a ad campaign is the foundation  of your ad so we're setting up our advertising  ,objectives and formats we then have ad group which  is target audiences ad placements budget and the  ,bidding then we have the ad creative which is  the text and the video that will appear on our  ,apps what we're physically seeing then finally our  landing page and this is the destination url that  ,we are driving our potential customers too this  is the place where they will actually buy our  ,products or service so when you actually have your  tick tock ad account up and running this I tried Drop Shipping with paid Tick,Tock ads and here are the results two,weeks ago I tried Drop Shipping with,only fifty dollars and well so today,we're gonna test our website the multi,bottle and see if paid ads are gonna be,better or if we should just move on to a,new product so let's get right into it,day one so let's start by creating some,ads now I don't have the product myself,so these ads are just made from content,I found online normally you should get,ugc content which stands for user,generated content since it performs a,lot better but we don't really have time,to ship the product to an influencer so,let's just hope for the best then let's,upload them to tick tock now we're gonna,set up the campaign as a CBL then we're,gonna do fifty dollars a day which is,the minimum select your pixel and choose,complete payment then remove these two,and select 18 to 55 plus since we don't,want some 13 year old to steal their,mom's credit card then we're gonna,select 7 to 24. now because I connected,my Tick Tock account to the ads manager,we can choose our ads here,and let's launch so the day we launched,the ads only spent three dollars and 64,cents for some reason if we go to the,Shopify dashboard we have 61 store,sessions one add to cart and no sales,day two day two was Black Friday and we,spent exactly fifty dollars but our CPM,was pretty high at 22 dollars this is,probably due to everybody our,advertising on Black Friday Also our CPC,was five dollars and it should be like,10 to 20 cents and our CTR was 0.45,percent when it should be at least one,percent on a Shopify dashboard we had 80,store sessions One ads at cart and zero,sales day three we spent fifty dollars,and got an even higher CPM but our CPC,was lower and CTR higher but these are,still very bad stats but on the Shopify,dashboard things started to look better,we got 70 store sessions five add to,cart three reach checkout and one sale,day four going into day four we again,got a 21 dollar CPM so I decided to cut,the ads at seven dollars spent in total,we had spent 111 dollars to make one,sale I got back to the drawing board and,decided that things needed to change day,five I was spending all day studying,Tick Tock ads and Tick Tock strategies,as well as making new ads so we had zero,dollars in ad spend day six on day six I,was ready with new ads and a new,strategy I decided instead of using my,post I would just create the ads,directly from the ads manager I also,added Canada an automated creative,optimization then I also raised the,budget to a hundred dollars a day so I,could lose my money faster after,spending twenty six dollars I decided to,cut the campaign since the CPC was too,high after spending 140 dollars to get,one sale I decided that it was time to,try a new product,day 7 on day seven the new product and,website was ready to be tested so we,spent 77 on ads and had a pretty good,CPM bad CPC and bad CTR on a Shopify,dashboard we had 107 store sessions with,five add to cart and two reach checkout,and zero sales day 8 on day eight I,created new ads and published them then,with only five cents an ad spend two,video views we got our first sale then,we got another sale and another sale and,another sale and we ended that day with,202 dollars in Revenue,but with the cost of ads fulfillment and,payment processor we have a solid 3.96,in profits here's the profit and loss,sheet for this challenge so we lost a,total of 216 dollars and that's why you,need a budget of minimum one thousand to,two thousand dollars when doing paid ads,but most people don't have that kind of,money lying around and that's why I'm,gonna retry organic Drop Shipping with,Tick Tock in my next video and this time,we're gonna do it with a US SIM card so,we can Target the US from Europe I,upload videos every Friday at 4 pm ESD,so subscribe and hit the Bell to get,notified about the video next week if,you have any questions or just want to,learn more join my Discord Link in the,description by the way this video right,here has,4193 likes maybe you'll like it too,thank you for watching have a great day,and I'll see you Friday
