which we discussed last week on my,video when we connected Shopify to,Facebook shops in order to get free,traffic from Facebook Google shops work,very similarly in this video we're going,to talk about what Google shops are how,you can utilize them as a drop shipper,and how to set them up all right so,Google shops are very similar to,Facebook shops as I mentioned have you,ever tried looking up some products on,Google for example you wanted to look up,a vacuum you type in a vacuum cleaner in,Google right and Google will give you,these results on the top with links to,to websites where you can go buy these,products that's what Google shops are,you can link your Shopify page to a,Google shop and when someone types in,the keyword let's say a couch or,something your couch has a chance of,showing up in this top corner so people,can click on it and Order directly from,you this is really cool especially if,you drop sharing on Facebook workshops,for example if your Facebook shop is,connected to Shopify your listing from,Facebook shop will also be visible on,Google as long as you have this one,connection with Shopify you can,Outsource your traffic to many different,platforms such as Google shops such as,eBay and Facebook shops so all of these,marketplaces are connected and you get,the tons of free traffic cross post,listings in all of these different,Marketplace to get sales not every,listing will qualify to be eligible to,be listed on Google shops and usually it,takes like few days for Google shops to,approve your listings but once they are,proof they stay there forever and the,changes are made automatically because,there is a direct synchronization,between Google and Shopify so if you,want to increase your exposure and get,potentially more sales this is very easy,to do and let me show you how to connect,your Shopify account to Google shops so,you can get this free traffic so I'm in,my Shopify dashboard and now we're gonna,add the Google channel to our Shopify,store okay so the way to do it is you're,gonna go to the sales challenge right,here and you're gonna click on it and,then you're gonna type in Google okay,and you should be seeing something like,this you should be seeing this menu okay,so you want to scroll down,and click on the update sales channels,okay you're gonna click on connect,Google account and you have to connect,it to your Gmail account that you've,created or you use in the past,and right away I got a message there are,a few mistakes that I need to do okay,one of them is remove online store,password that's because I'm using a,dummy account this is not my actual,Shopify account this is Academia account,that I use for testing and I have a,password on so we're gonna remove this,really quick so I'm going to click on,remove your online password and I have,to scroll down,what it says here now in order to,actually remove the password I need to,pick the Shopify plan so I'm going to do,this really quick I'm gonna go with the,cheapest option and I'm gonna go with,the monthly option all right perfect so,I got the subscription now I can remove,the password protection which I'm gonna,do right now and I'm gonna click on that I,use for my Facebook shops and these,policies are available to members of my,dropshipping guild however once you go,to the store policies where you have to,insert these policies as you can see I,already put my refund policy and the,terms of service policy you can simply,just click on create a new template like,for example right here I want to create,a contact information policy I can just,click on create from template and I will,create something for you that you can,just use it so that's very neat and it's,cool that Shopify does that so I already,inserted mine policy so all I'm going to,do is just click save and continue I,just added the policies but I still need,to add them to the footer of my,navigation menu so I'm going to show you,real quickly how to do that so click on,your online store and then go to,navigation right here and once you're,here click on the footer menu and click,on ADD menu item we're gonna add the,terms of service policy and we're going,to find this policy right here in terms,of service we're going to click on ADD,and we're going to do the same thing,with the refund policy refund policy C's,refund policy and AD perfect okay the,next thing I need to do I need to,confirm that I added contact information,to your online store so I'm going to do,the same thing I did with the policies,I'm gonna add this to my footer in my,menu so I'm gonna again click on online,store navigation we're gonna click on,the footer menu,and we're gonna get and we're gonna,click on ADD menu item contact me and,we're going to click on policies and,pick the contact information policy and,click add and save menu now I'm going to,click on confirm that you've added,contact information to your online store,and I'm going to click on confirm okay,so I'm seeing this thread message that,says there was a problem verifying and,claiming your domain contact Shopify for,support so I'm not gonna contact Shopify,yet let's see what's going on I'm going,to click on this link,which is going to take me to my Google,merchant account okay so Google Merchant,this is like the dashboard of the,Facebook uh of the Google shops okay and,right here I see a message saying verify,and claim your store website I don't,have any website connected to this store,that's why it's probably not working so,what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna click on,verify and claim website and I will have,to put my Shopify website link so I'm,gonna copy it from Shopify and paste it,here,click on continue now they're gonna ask,you to kind of verify this process so,you can do this by by putting a piece of,code in a header on your website from,Google to your Shopify page so if you,click on ADD HTML tag you're gonna,receive this little code right here that,actually give you instructions that,you're gonna copy so I'm going to click,on this button to copy it and I'm gonna,paste this on my home page in the head,section okay so follow me so I went back,to my Shopify page and I'm gonna click,on online store and I'm gonna go to,themes right here and I'm gonna hover my,mouse to what it says action and we're,going to click on edit code,and you're going to see that the HTML,code of your website once you're here,you want to go to,theme that liquid,and you want to be in the head section,of your the HTML code so the head,section starts here and it ends right,here and at 215 line at least that's the,case with my website might be different,for yours so I'm gonna make space here,okay and I'm just gonna paste this code,right here and click on save so now once,you put this piece of code on your,Shopify website click on verify website,if everything will work great this icon,will change from yellow to Green so in,our case it worked great and now I have,to click on claim website so this will,also change to Green right perfect so,everything work out our Google merchant,account is working great and let's go,back to Shopify and continue our process,of setting up Google shop on your,Shopify page all right so it seems like,everything is working out because all,the red messages are gone so now they,want me to put my phone number right,here to get the verification code so I'm,gonna do this real quick so I just got,the code on my phone and I'm gonna put,it right here,click on verify next I will have to,agree to their terms and services so I'm,going to mark this and I'm going to,click on complete setup and voila that's,it so now my Shopify page is connected,to the Google shop so whenever I'm gonna,list something whenever I want to list,the product on my Google shop it's going,to be automatically sync with my,merchant account right here on my Google,merchant account and whenever my,listings will show up on the Google,merchant account they will be also,visible on Google so for example if,someone will try to look for I don't,know blue vacuum okay my listing has a,chance of showing up right here in this,section and people will be able to buy,it from here so for example I just added,this product to the Shopify store right,and as a quantity I just put 10. so now,this product should be sent to my Google,shop is the thing as you can see this,product says that it's pending and what,I've noticed is that Google is kind of,slow with these new products I think,they verify each listing so it might,take some time for Google actually to,approve your listing even here it says,three to five business days I would say,from my experience it's usually a day or,two within those two days usually the,listings get approved and sent to Google,shops Google shops are really cool it's,basically you know free ways of getting,views you can also run ads on these,listings through using Google accounts,but in this video I just want to explore,three ways of getting traffic to your,website not necessarily a paid version,also remember not every listing will,qualify to be eligible to be listed on,Google shops and don't expect tons of,traffic I would say that maybe 20,increase in traffic it's something that,you might be expecting it also depends,on the products it also depends on the,keywords you're using and depends on the,saturation but 20 traffic increase,that's that's an number that you might,be expecting from this it's just a cool,way of getting free traffic on Facebook,without using ads without using,influencers without using any of that
