When you're building and editing your online store with Shopify, your internet browser,stores website information in a memory system called a cache.,The cache in your browser reuses files that it has already downloaded, and remembers changes,the that you've made.,This way you're not downloading the same image or file over and over again on each page.,Clearing your cache can help reset the browser so it gets the most up to date information.,Today, we'll show you how to clear your cache for three different web browsers, Google Chrome,,Safari and FireFox.,When you make changes to your online store, like adjusting your store’s colors, updating,a product description or editing your shipping settings, you usually see these changes immediately,in your web browser.,If you do not see the changes that you have made, then it might be because your browser,is loading stored memory from the cache instead of showing the new changes that you have made.,You can wait until your browser stores a new memory with your recent changes, or you can,clear the cache and force the browser to load the new information on your website.,Before we get started, it's important to note that your browser might look a little different,than what’s shown here, depending on how recently you updated your browser, and the,type of computer you're using.,Let’s start on the Google Chrome web browser by clicking "Chrome" in the top navigation,bar.,Click the option to clear your browsing data.,In the pop-up, select how far back in time you want to clear your browser’s cache.,In this example, we selected the last 24 hours.,If you made changes in the last few hours, then you might want to select a shorter time,range.,Next, select what type of history you want to clear.,For this example, we only want to clear the cached images and files, so we uncheck the,other options listed.,If you select the option that includes cookies and other site data, then you're signed out,of all accounts you’re logged in to on this browser.,Make sure you unselect this option to keep from being logged out of your accounts.,To finish, click the clear data option.,Next, we are going to show you how to clear the cache on the Safari web browser.,Click "Safari", then select the preferences option.,In the pop-up window, go to the advanced options.,Add the developer menu to the menu bar.,In the updated menu bar, select the new developer menu, and select the option to empty your,cache.,If you're using a FireFox browser, then start by going to the history menu in the top bar.,Then select the option to clear your history.,In the pop-up, select how far back in time you want to clear your browser’s cache.,In this example, we’re clearing the cache for today, but if you made changes in the,last few hours you may want to select a shorter time range.,Next, select the type of history that you want to clear.,For this example, we only want to clear the cache, so we uncheck everything else.,When you're ready, clear the cache.,After you clear your cache, open your Shopify store on a new browser tab and look for the,changes that you made.,If you see the changes reflect properly, then the issue is resolved.,If you don't see the changes after clearing your cache, then it may be different issue.,Reach out to our Shopify support team and they'll be happy to help.,Thanks for watching!
