we  want to be built in this is generally the region  ,that you want to be targeting change the business  name to something a little bit simpler click sign  ,up and connect you'll come to this data sharing  section which we've touched on a few times in my  ,previous episodes just click enhanced or maximum  providing you've got the terms and conditions set  ,up for something and then click the,world wide web today on our online,adventures today I can't even finish my,intro correctly because I am so,irrationally excited for what we're,gonna talk about today I cannot wait to,fill in this video so as most of you,probably know already there's been one,particular app that's been taking over,the world recently and that app is,called tick tock now if you've never,heard of tick tock that would be a,little surprising but just in case you,haven't it's an app where users can,share short little videos of themselves,set to music or other soundtracks that,they can post for the whole world to see,despite tic TOCs massive popularity,though it's gotten a lot of backlash,recently for something I'm sure most of,you are familiar with which is they're,very aggressive ad campaign which has,left a lot of people wondering why on,earth is every single YouTube ad I see,an ad for tick tock and I myself was,very confused by this as an avid YouTube,viewer I was curious as to why I was,getting the same ads over and over and,over again and curious as to where this,app tick tock even came from so I did a,little bit of research and found out a,ton of information on why tick tock is,marketing their apps so heavily right,now and what their long-term goals might,be to grow the application and that,information is what I'm about to share,with you right now,so tick tock was launched in September,of 2016 under the Chinese name Julian,and it was later introduced to overseas,markets under the name,tick tock it was launched by a company,called bite dance which was founded in,2012 and is responsible for three other,major social media application although,largely unknown to Western markets by,dance is one of the largest startups in,the world right now although it's,private it was recently valued at over,75 billion dollars and to give you a bit,of a reference for that uber is valued,at 75 billion dollars right now so this,startup is about the same size as uber,which means it's about 1/10 the size of,Apple and Amazon although it was not,originally backed by me,investors buy dances success can largely,be attributed to its cutting edge,artificial they think you like,one thing that i realized made it good,is that it gives us,a framework to see what,is converting and what works and you,will see,that on tick tock there are a lot of,people in serious markets,plastic surgeons chiropractors,that is crushing it on tick-tock not by,doing,stupid dance moves but by creating,content,that is relevant to their market but,my my goal for you guys engagement campaign on tick-tock,but the point here is you don't always,need to have a really fancy you know,dancing tick-tock video to succeed so,this is an example of an ad that works,and it's just a very,simple uh you know apparel video the,next one is,from nike this one's pretty interesting,have you watched this,you know ad loan by itself you're,probably going to wonder,how the heck is this about either the main,problem a statistic related to your,product or just the main benefit that,people can get from your product that,will keep them interested and wanting to,learn more so let's review some ads for,this laser toy for cats as you can see,the opening hook is instantly turned any,lazy chubby cat into a panther that,catches people's attention like wait how,the hell do i actually do that and,that's what you're really trying to get,the effect of for your target audience,this isn't supposed to be a hook that,captures everyone's attention because if,you don't have a cat you're probably,gonna keep scrolling and that's,perfectly fine you're not trying to get,that audience but as you can see right,here we got a clip of this laser moving,now i would say that hook actually the,clip wasn't great because it doesn't,show a cat sprawling around so this is,why you always will test different clips,but stay with the same text benefits so,let's check out the other two ads here,and see if we actually made some changes,to the clip so we had the same text,benefit we had a good in agreement here,okay so we have this hook it's still,showcasing the product but again it,doesn't have a clip of the cat and these,are ads that have not yet been approved,now let's see the hook over here,and there we go we got some cats moving,i know the quality is not great because,it's google drive so everything's a,little blurry but now you see a bunch of,clips of cats moving along with this,laser product and i can guarantee that,this will definitely convert the best,compared to just a static shot of the,product and that's why you have to test,different clips for that hook so 9 out,of 10 times the best hook you're going,to actually find for your product is,going to be the main headline the main,benefit of your product that captures,people's attention so i really feel like,the text benefit on that product was,really solid it was just the clip that,needs to be changed around and i would,say the final thing i would recommend in,your hooks is to showcase the product in,the first couple seconds that way people,actually know what the ad or
