hi i'm colleen hi i'm jess and i'm,nicholas and welcome back to two three,and three,it's the three in three,so this week we are talking about tic,toc's latest ad product instagram,testing a profile update and how,important video is,so our first point is tick tock's latest,ad product which involves interactive,add-ons and they have several new,engagement features they fall under two,brackets standard and premium standard,add-ons reach lower funnel marketing,goals such as clicks and conversions,while premium add-ons offer upper funnel,goals like brand awareness and community,building these standard add-ons will,also include display cards gift vouchers,stickers voting stickers and countdown,stickers,premium add-ons,profile showcase gesture and superlight,2.0 so they are to improve their viewer,experience by highlighting important,messages driving loyalty enhancing,community connection and generating buzz,about upcoming events sales for your,products and all that sort of thing i,think they're designed to be a lot more,engaging ads so that you can actually,like you can get a discount code on your,ads so people will actually go to your,website and utilize it i think this has,come out because of the new um shop live,like yeah serving your ticket everyone's,realizing how many people want to get,involved in the lives yeah so this is,like right okay people want to get,involved in these things and they get,discounts and if you only do at the,actual like live shopping do you get the,discount things like that now if they do,that with ads people spend more money,and then tick tock becomes richer this,is this is typical tick tock they are,just so good at using user behavior data,to improve the platform and essentially,to make more money definitely so why not,and our second point this week is that,instagram is testing a profile update,that highlights your best content some,instagram users are now able to pin,specific posts to the top of their,profile grid using the new pin to your,profile function in like the little,three dot menu on your feed posts pin,posts are denoted by a white pin icon on,the top right corner of a user's profile,it will also help rearrange your feed in,order to highlight those stand-up posts,and whether they're in the best creative,example or have actually performed well,i think it's good for brands because,they can pinpoint,posts on the instagram yeah showing us,who they are giveaways and stuff as well,you can pin those to the top of your,performance like say it's a,how-to product yeah you can pin that and,you can sort of see yeah how to use your,product yeah,and our third and final point today is,the importance of video so a study was,released by search engine journal,claiming that video aids 95,of enterprise b2b buyers in conversion,research has polled over 300 b2b,decision makers and companies generating,over 50 million dollars in revenues,across north america and the united,kingdom 70 of respondents claimed video,is the best content format for creating,awareness of business related problems,learning about products and,understanding a problem that you have,agreed i mean we've seen it across every,platform that we've done they've gone,from picture to video or they've started,in the past two years they've not even,done pictures they've just done videos,yeah so yeah i fully understand like why,it's kind of,the most,used content or most well most viewed,content more than anything else it makes,sense because you can easily get across,your like product service yeah show what,you're,about in the video yeah 10 seconds like,personality yeah our whole company is,based upon personality yeah and that's,it's only like,viewable in a video it's not really,making,thanks for watching guys as always let,us know what you're looking forward to,in the comments below and don't forget,to like and subscribe,bye bye,there's no bloopers for this one then uh,study coming out,good great instead of coming out right,i'm just gonna what am i doing,whatever that means,i'm about to find out,premium i can't see it,thanks for watching guys as always,it's the three in three

That's the whole point of TikToks.,So you really need to distill your story down quickly.,So one to two sentences of where you were at before and then the transformation,that you've experienced because of your business, your product, your service,,whatever it is that you're offering. I gave this one a shot.,So here's my example.,The third type of TikTok is called get to know me. However,,this one's a little bit more like answering a common misconception that people,have about you or your business.,So if there's a question you get all the time or there's a common belief that,people have about you that's wrong.,This type of TikTok is perfect for you to set the record straight.,Here is an example of the get to know me TikTok.,And of course I've made my own version of this TikTok.,So go ahead and watch this and get to know me.,The fourth type of TikTok for your business is jumping on what's already,trending. You might not know this,,but there is a discover page on TikTok similar to the explore page on Instagram.,So I recommend pulling up your TikTok,,hitting the discover tab and check out what hashtags are trending.,So right away I see something called maple syrup day could be really relevant,for me as a Canadian.,There's also a hashtag called morph and that's a trending challenge.,So it looks like people are blending their pictures together to show their,transformation. There's another one called holiday covers, never zero.,Not sure what that is, but let's look into any one of them.,Let's check out morph,,and I can see that this hashtag has 42 million views.,So let's check out this Ariana morph and just to get an idea,,So it's pretty straight forward.,There's obviously a feature built into TikTok called morph that allows you to,mesh your photos together. So this may not really be an explicit,,you know, invitation to your business,,but it just might show your evolution as a human.,Maybe you can throw a few business-y pictures in there,,but really the point of this one is just to jump on the trending hashtags so,that maybe your TikTok goes viral. today we're going to cover everything tick-tock  ads we're going to go into shopify we're going  ,to link our store we're going to make sure the  pixel is set up properly we're going to make  ,sure that you can get amazing tick-tock results  for those that are new to the channel i'm davey  ,foggerty my shopify stores have done over 400  million dollars in sales in just four years tick  ,tock ads is the new kid on the blog usually we're  heavily reliant on facebook because it's such an  ,incredible marketing tool but lots of people are  getting heaps of success with the new entertaining  ,nature of tick tock ads so it might be perfect  for your brand this video is perfect for beginners  ,we're not going to skip any steps but i'm also  going to go into some advanced things around  ,content because that is so important to make sure  that you make tick tock ads work the first step  ,you're going to want to do is set up your shopify  store if you haven't set up your shopify store  ,just pause the video click the link in my bio and  set it up now we've got one set up through our  ,lemon scrub series so it's got most of the things  ready we're just going to make sure that we set up  ,tiktok properly so the pixel is firing once you're  in shopify the best way to go is go into apps and  ,just write in tiktok simply download the official  tiktok app and click add sales channel this is the  ,exact same as facebook nowadays this will bring  up this little tick tock section down on the left  ,hand store of your shopify store if you don't have  shopify still carry on watching we're going to get  ,into the nitty gritty in a second once this is set  up we can click this section here setting up the  ,pixel the next step you can see that it's saying  connect tick tock for business this is where you  ,need a new tick tock account already have a tick  tock business account you can just click connect  ,but today we're gonna have to create a brand new  one so i'm just gonna click create new at the top  ,enter my email address get the verification code  sent into the verification code here agree to  ,terms and conditions and just click sign up you  can click connect down the bottom right and that's  ,now created an ads manager business manager under  that email we can click create new ad account and  ,we can select the country and the currency that we  want to be built in this is generally the region  ,that you want to be targeting change the business  name to something a little bit simpler click sign  ,up and connect you'll come to this data sharing  section which we've touched on a few times in my  ,previous episodes just click enhanced or maximum  providing you've got the terms and conditions set  ,up for something and then click confirm maximum  is obviously preferred this is how shopify shares  ,data with ticktock this is referred to as capi  which is a partnership between shopify and the  ,advertising platform click set up enter your final  details make sure you connect automatic payment  ,click confirm and you should be ready to go now  to create tick-tock ads we're actually going to  ,have to go back to the tick-tock ads manager so  we can go ads.tichtalk.com you can see that our  ,ad account has already been created to make sure  that we do have the pixel set up properly what i  ,do recommend is going to your website and just  like facebook there's something called tic toc  ,pixel helper and it's a chrome extension that you  can download and check if your pixel is firing  ,on your website if it's not you may need to go  and fix that initially just download the chrome  ,extension and you can see that our tick tock pixel  is set up here shopify set it up for us and it  ,should be firing this is a page view because we're  on a page when you add a product to cart it should  ,fire the add to cart pixel or if someone purchases  you can test a purchase and it will also fire that  ,pixel in the exact right way so now we're in  the tiktok ads account we can go ahead and  ,create our first campaign campaign structures  are really important to talk about it's what  ,separates good advertisers from bad advertisers  that alongside really effective marketing content  ,the basic structure is you have a campaign which  is what objective you are striving for if you've  ,got something like a real estate business  it might be leads you're trying to collect  ,leads but we've got a e-commerce business  so we want to get purchases then you've  ,got the ad set level which is basically the tick tock is the most recent ad platform,to roll out lead generation,campaigns facebook i believe was the,first one to have them,quite a number of years ago linkedin has,had them for a while,even google has some variants that can,show up in different places around the,network,i think this move from tick tock is,important for a couple of different,reasons,first it's just a good sign that they're,investing more in the ad,platform they're one of the newer ad,platforms and they're still coming out,with,new opportunities and ways to target,users,even if they are something that other,channels have it's just a good sign that,they're trying to grow and make sure,that it's a good environment for,everybody involved,second with the changes to ios 14 it's,getting more and more difficult to track,user behavior and attribute performance,online,we're not able to use those third-party,cookies nearly as much and in the future,they're going to get even worse,the beauty of lead generation ads is,that all of the performance and,reporting is contained right within the,ad platform,it all happens on tick tock so all the,performance is there,we don't have to rely on any sort of,third party tracking,i'm really excited about lead generation,campaigns going out to more channels,so today i want to run you through how,to set up your first lead generation,campaign on tick tock,once you're in the tick tock ads,campaign manager,we're just going to go to create a new,campaign to do that we need to go to the,campaign,management tab and then down here we can,click create just like most other social,advertising platforms the first thing,we're going to do is choose our,objective,if i scroll down a little bit you'll see,that lead generation is this one down,here in the bottom of the consideration,column and it still has the new next to,the name so i'm going to click lead,generation,once i've done that i can come down here,to the settings section and i can give,this a name if i want to,for now i'm just going to get rid of all,these terrible numbers i'll leave,everything else as it is and click,continue,now basically everything at the ad group,level is going to be something we've,already covered in a previous video,everything from placements to the,targeting,that you have available we've covered in,a different video that you can check out,in the top of your screen now,around all the different targeting,options that are on tick tock i'm going,to skip down,past all of that and stop at the budget,and schedule section because i need to,put in a daily budget here and just as a,placeholder i'm going to put in 20,because it tells me it needs to be at,least 20.,and now if we scroll down a little bit,to bidding and optimization the last,settings here,we'll find the first portion that is,lead generation,campaign specific you can see here that,the optimization goal is set for leads,and there is no way to change that it's,going to optimize for leads,always with a lead generation campaign,this is just the same as any of the,other social platforms out there,that leverage lead generation this isn't,too terribly different the one piece,that is different is that there is a,cost cap bid strategy on any of the,other platforms you have a few different,options of what bid strategies you want,to use for lead generation but on tick,tock,you have to add in your cost cap and,that is going to be,what the average cost per lead that you,want to pay is that doesn't guarantee,that you are going to only pay that,amount for each lead it just means that,tick tiktok is going to try and optimize,for that cost per lead for you,if you hover over the cost cap name you,will get a small graphic off to the,right,it says this is best for keeping your,average cost per result around or,lower than your bid regardless of your,budget and things to consider here,are that you may not spend your budget,fully if your,cost per conversion is set too low if,you set it too low,you're not giving ticktack enough room,to learn and optimize and try to get you,as many leads as it can within your,budget so,depending on what your main goal is,whether it's volume and scale or whether,it's efficiency,make sure that you use a cost per lead,goal that makes sense here,for now i'm just going to set it to five,dollars now that we've done that let's,hop,into the add portion and get more into,the nitty gritty of the lead generation,setup,you can start off by giving your ad a,name but then you'll see that the only,ad format that we are allowed to use,currently is a single video so we don't,need to do any other adjustments here,that's going to be the only option we,can use and rather than spending most of,my time,on the actual ad details itself i think,that's better suited for another video,what i'm going to do,is just give a quick overview of what,all will go in here and we're going to,spend most of the time on the form,itself,so when you're creating a video ad retarget,website visitors with another ad that,gives them a coupon code and then maybe,they'll finally decide to make that,purchase,so to install a tick tock pixel click,assets and then click event,click manage under the website pixel,click create pixel and then name it your,Shopify store name so Shopify has,actually made it really easy to install,this piece of code with one click so,what you're going to do is you're going,to click this button right here,and then hit connect with Shopify,okay cool that's done now we're going to,hit next,and now let's go over to shopify's App,Store and make sure that we actually,have the tick tock app installed this,app is literally just called Tick Tock,and then the app is just buy Tick Tock,Inc okay so Tick Tock Inc,and then you're going to add the sales,channel here like this after that you're,going to connect your Shopify account to,your Tick Tock and you're good make sure,that you have the right ads manager,account selected here then hit also want to add a,payment method and then when you go back,to tick tock you can click this button,right here that confirms that you have,set the pixel up in Shopify,after this the Shopify pixel will show,up you also want to make sure that,you're setting up your conversion,tracking so we're going to go into the,create events page and then from here,you can create events using two,different tracking methods you've got,URL keywords or web elements okay so we,have click events so click events are,going to count every time someone clicks,on a specific element on your website so,this could be like adding something to,cart or submitting a form and buttons,and links are also going to be tracked,with click events then we have URL,events okay URL events count user visits,to specific pages so like you might want,to track when people view a specific,product page for example so all that,being said I'm going to show you how to,create a click event,select the appropriate event type for,this
