by getting,you set up here first things first,you're going to want to make a pixel and,you're going to want to set this up on,your Ecommerce site,so if you're not familiar what the pixel,does is it tracks important actions that,your customers are taking like if,someone's adding something to their cart,for example now the reason that we need,the tick tock pixel is because you're,going to need the data that it's,collecting to create retargeting ads so,that you can Target very specific people,so for example let's say The Tick Tock,pixel tracks all the people that visit,your website you can later retarget,website visitors with another ad that,gives them a coupon code and then maybe,they'll finally decide to make that,purchase,so to install a tick tock pixel click,assets and then click event,click manage under the website pixel,click create pixel and then name it your,Shopify store name so Shopify has,actually made it really easy to install,this piece of code with one click so,what you're going to do is you're going,to click this button right here,and then hit connect with Shopify,okay cool that's done now we're going to,hit next,and now let's go over to shopify's App,Store and the sales,channel here like this after that you're,going to connect your Shopify account to,your Tick Tock and you're good make sure,that you have the right ads manager,account selected here then hit connect,select the pixel that we've just made,together a minute ago just like this and,then hit connect,select your Target locations depending,on where in the world you're selling to,you're going to also want to add a,payment method and then when you go back,to tick tock you can click this button,right here that confirms that you have,set the pixel up in Shopify,after this the Shopify pixel will show,up you also want to make sure that,you're setting up your conversion,tracking so we're going to go into the,create events page and then from here,you can create events using two,different tracking methods you've got,URL keywords or web elements okay so we,have click events so click events are,going to count every time someone clicks,on a specific element on your website so,this could be like adding something to,cart or submitting a form and buttons,and links are also going to be tracked,with click events then we have URL,events okay URL events count user visits,to specific pages what's up marketers i'm super excited,about today's video because it's,actually going to be my first one about,tick tock ads now if you follow me over,on twitter you already know what a huge,tick tock ads fan i am i am super,bullish on this platform and i think it,has the most potential for growth in,2022. think like facebook ads in 2017.,this is why i'm stoked to partner with,my very good friend facebook ads as well so let's go,ahead and dive right in the first,strategy is what i like to call a,problem solution ad now this is actually,a pretty standard approach to creating,not only all user generated types of,content but also just most types of ads,but what makes this tick tock specific,of course is the use of different types,of tick tock style font and also the,different types of transitions but,here's the actual recipe that i use to,create that kind of content first we,like to describe the problem in the hook,so that's within the first three seconds,of the ad and i like to use i statements,with quotations it makes it seem a,little bit more relatable and then after,that you agitate or elaborate more on,the problem and then you present your,product or service as the solution to,that problem and then describe the,how-to of your product or service this,is really common more like,subscription-based brands or if you have,to take some kind of quiz to get matched,up to your specific type of product or,whatever and then you can add in as many,benefits and features as you want and,then end with a really catchy cta and,strategy number two definitely a,savannah special is the tick tock made,me buy it ad and the recipe here is,pretty self-explanatory in the hook you,use the phrase tic toc made me buy it or,some variation of that phrase and i like,to do two things here i either like to,have it overlaying with a video or image,of the actual product or of someone's,face then you get to introduce the,product of course if you already didn't,do that in the first hook,but i like to encourage my creators to,think like an influencer here um you,know really think about how you can show,it more aesthetically use some golden,hour lighting or do some fun transitions,and then you can go into as many,benefits or features as you want and,then end with a catchy cta number three,is a goodie and i might say that it's my,current fave i've actually personally,used this strategy across multiple,clients and for one client in particular,i'm not kidding it cut the cpa on,facebook ads in half practically,overnight,so if you have to choose one strategy to,test out of all 10 of these,i might try this one and this is the,tick tock response strategy and the,recipe here looks like this in the hook,you have to use the tick tock response,bubble and try to make it look as native,as possible i would go ahead and do it,right in the tik tok ads app and then,export it out and then compile the rest,inside of premiere pro or cap cut and i,would actually encourage you guys to,test as many different things inside of,that tick tock response bubble as you,can and i would actually encourage you,guys to test several different types of,messaging within that tick tock response,bubble and my suggestions here would be,to think about the inherent value of,your product or think about specific,benefits that you hear over and over,again and try to keep the tone really,really casual you want it to feel like,it's something that someone would be,responding to a piece of content on,tiktok and i've also seen that using,emojis directly in that bubble tends to,help as well after that i like to follow,up with a strong positive testimonial,about the product and then go through,the different product variations or even,a how-to using the green screen method,or showing the website flow then throw,in another strong testimonial or benefit,and then close out with a strong cta and,then number four is what internally at,theseus we call the stepwise video now i,have made other videos where i featured,this ad type before,and i still really recommend it i,believe what savannah calls this is the,three reasons why strategy and here's,how the recipe so  ,it's a monumental opportunity for people and  businesses to sell their products on the platform  ,how many times have you spoken to someone they've  said ah i found that product on tick tock it's  ,happening a lot these days so let's jump on to how  you can actually make the most of that so this is  ,the tick tock ad structure so at the top we have  tick tocks ad manager then we have ad campaigns  ,we have ad groups we have ad creative and then  landing pages to break these down one by one tick  ,doc ads manager is where you manage your ticktock  advertising account similar to the They make streetwear.,And it's called Tastewear, so let's get into it.,- Yes, that's right, Pizza Hut made a track suit,,and they're advertising it to me, which is weirdly targeted.,I am not necessarily the world's biggest Pizza Hut fan,,but I am a huge fan of companies,doing weird PR things, including clothing.,KFC Crocs, sign me up. we're seeing so,these are just some examples of tick,tock ads that don't work there's a,common misconception that people have,it's that they're running facebook ads,they're getting good results and then,they want to use the similar content,that they have there on tik-tok because,they think it's just copy and paste and,to be honest with you it's not like that,using images or gifs on your actual,tik-tok ads are not going to increase,your conversions if anything it's,actually going to decrease your,conversion rates and actually raise your,overall cost per cpm,and you know you don't want your actual,tick tocks to look like ads and a big,motto that ticktock has is make tick,tocks not ads and that's the main,premise here you don't want to be,creating content that looks like this,where you have these overlays or these,big call outs of the you know specific,offer and like red you know these red,circles here or having you know the,branding on the side of this those types,of ads just don't work on tick tock,people scroll right past those you want,the content to look native you want it,to feel like user generated content in,fact i'm actually going to be covering,ways you can get purchases um there's,you're gonna have a guaranteed 15 hit,rate on that so free money free free aov,increase why not and quantity breaks,bundle bear things like that um you know,those are just to wear on the front you,know before they get into checkout,they're able to increase the average,order value as well so these I believe,are Essentials to have on the store and,if I didn't have them I doubt I'd be,profitable in fact I wouldn't be so when,it comes to the creative now you're,going to need a very controlled ugc what,I mean by controlled ugc is something,that focuses directly on the product things around  ,content because that is so important to make sure  that you make tick tock ads work the first step  ,you're going to want to do is set up your shopify  store if you haven't set up your sure that we set up  ,tiktok properly so the pixel is firing once you're  in shopify the best way to go is go into apps and  ,just write in tiktok simply download the official  tiktok app and click add sales channel this is the  ,exact same as facebook nowadays this will bring  up this little tick tock section down on the left  ,hand store of your shopify store if you don't have  shopify still carry on watching we're going to get  ,into the nitty gritty in a second once this is set  up we can click this section here setting up the  ,pixel the next step you can see that it's saying  connect tick tock for business this is where you  ,need a new tick tock account already have a tick  tock business account you can just click connect  ,but today we're gonna have to create a brand new  one so i'm just gonna click create new at the top  ,enter my email address get the verification code  sent into the verification code here agree to  ,terms and conditions and just click sign up you  can click connect down the bottom right and that's  ,now created an ads manager business manager under  that email we can click create new ad account and  ,we can select the country and the currency that we  want to be built in this is generally the region  ,that you want to be targeting change the business  name to something a little bit simpler click sign  ,up and connect you'll come to this data sharing  section which we've touched on a few times in my  ,previous episodes just click enhanced or maximum  providing you've got the terms and conditions set  ,up for something and then click confirm maximum  is obviously preferred this is how shopify shares  ,data with ticktock this is referred to as capi  which is a partnership between shopify and the  ,advertising platform click set up enter your final  details make sure you connect automatic payment  ,click confirm and you should be ready to go now  to create tick-tock ads we're actually going to  ,have to go back to the tick-tock website and just  like facebook there's something called tic toc  ,pixel helper and it's a chrome extension that you  can download and check if your pixel is firing  ,on your website if it's not you may need to go  and fix that initially just download the chrome  ,extension and you can see that our tick tock pixel  is set up here shopify set it up for us and it  ,should be firing this is a page view because we're  on a page when you add a product to cart it should  ,fire the add to cart pixel or if someone purchases  you can test a purchase and it will also fire that  ,pixel in the exact right way so now we're in  the tiktok ads account we can go ahead and  ,create our first campaign campaign structures  are really important to talk about it's what  ,separates good advertisers from bad advertisers  that alongside really effective marketing content  ,the basic structure is you have a campaign which  is what objective you are striving for if you've  ,got something like a real
