things around  ,content because that is so important to make sure  that you make tick tock ads work the first step  ,you're going to want to do is set up your shopify  store if you haven't set up your tick tock for business this is where you  ,need a new tick tock account already have a tick  tock business account you can just click connect  ,but today we're gonna have to create a brand new  one so i'm just gonna click create new at the top  ,enter my email address get the verification code  sent into the verification code here agree to  ,terms and conditions and just click sign up you  can click connect down the bottom right and that's  ,now created an ads manager business manager under  that email we can click create new ad account and  ,we can select the country and the currency that I recently found myself repeating the,same thing over and over to current,clients as we are expending over to tick,tock as a major ad platform within our,client pool so I'm always repeating the,clients why it's important to have a,full warm-up phase dedicated to warming,up the tick tock pixel because look,reality is most of people going on Tick,Tock right now are not using Tick Tock,as a first platform they've been in the,industry for quite a while and they've,advertised on Facebook and they kind of,Forgotten what time what it was to get,started with Facebook back then so in,today's short and sweet video I want to,talk about why the tick tock pixel,warm-up phase is very important and how,do you want to structure this phase,before you really start running your,Tick Tock ads my name is Justin and I'm,the founder of voicemail media and,e-commerce marketing agency specializing,in elevating thriving Brands by,simplifying e-commerce growth,foreign,so to get straight into it I'll do an,analogy that I I really love telling our,clients so when you first start riding a,bike when you're very young right if you,threw a kid on a bike without any,training wheels there's a very your,pixel warm enough for you to start,running purchases conversions campaign,so for the first week again let's keep,in mind tick docks CBO minimum daily,budget is 50 so you'll want to start,running ads for traffic or video views,and in do so for about seven days just,the first to tell the algorithm hey,those are the type of people that are,most interested in our video type,doesn't mean they're taking action just,means they're showing some signs of,Interest by either liking commenting or,interacting with your videos once this,is done then you switch to the second,phase of your warm-up phase so for the,following seven days which you actually,start for the first time with a,conversion campaign so you'll usually go,with a bit more of a top of funnel event,so that could be add to cart as an,example and your only goal at this stage,is to get 50 conversions within seven,days so for you to get 50 at the carts,within seven days again depending on,your products aov means that you need to,spend a certain level on the platform,for most people the daily minimum budget,of fifty dollars is gonna be enough to,achieve these 50 conversions assuming,you have a good conversion rate on the,website so once you're done and once you,actually have these 50 attributed,conversions then it's a bit of a,conflicting advice online and it'll,depend on the clients honestly that,we're doing this with but either you can,directly switch to a purchase event,right there and already essentially,starts running some conversions,campaigns for purchases or you could go,one step further and actually start,optimizing for initiate checkout for,another seven days so you extend your,warm-up phase by another week and then,once you get 50 initiated checkouts,within that week then you get to 50,purchases I'm actually going to,recommend for the most of you to,actually do this phase where you're,going with traffic or video view,campaigns for seven days then week two,you're going without the consumer spend  ,above youtube disney plus and netflix this  is probably the uh the biggest stat on this  ,screen ranking above youtube and netflix in  consumer spend is absolutely ridiculous so  ,it's a monumental opportunity for people and  businesses to sell their products on the platform  ,how many times have you spoken to someone they've  said ah i found that product on tick tock it's  ,happening a lot these days so let's jump on to how  you can actually make the most of that so this is  ,the tick tock ad structure so at the top we have  tick tocks ad manager then we have ad campaigns  ,we have ad groups we have ad creative and then  landing pages to break these down one by one tick  ,doc ads manager is where you manage your ticktock  advertising account similar to the facebook  ,ad manager now a ad campaign is the foundation  of your ad so we're setting up our advertising  ,objectives and formats we then have ad group which  is target audiences ad placements budget and the  ,bidding then we have the ad creative which is  the text and the video that will appear on our  ,apps what we're physically seeing then finally our  landing page and this is the destination url that  ,we are driving our potential customers too this  is the place where they will actually buy our  ,products or service so when you actually have your  tick tock ad account up and running this is kind  ,of what the format will look like we have our ad  manager at the top we have campaigns beneath that  ,then inside an ad campaign we would have multiple  ad groups so we'll be testing out hey welcome back into another video here,on the channel today,i'm going to be talking about what the,key differences are,between facebook ads tick tock ads the,platforms have,phenomenal differences between them,there's certain situations where you,could use both,but i want to outline the pros the cons,the differences and things that you're,aware of so you could,literally today go ahead and launch ads,on one of these platforms potentially,both if you know me if you follow the,channel for a while,you know that i always recommend,learning one thing first in an,advertising and marketing,world you are going to get the best,results when you dominate one platform,first the reason for that,is most paid ad platforms you know,outside of you know paying a youtube,influencer for a huge shout out,things like google ads facebook guys tic,toc anything like that where there's,pixels involved and it's data driven,if you can build a ton of data from tick,tock ads,and you also had your facebook and,google pixel on the store the whole time,well transitioning from tick tock to,facebook is going to be easy because you,already have,3 000 sales on the pixel season data,facebook knows who your customer is you,can build lookalike and retargeting,audiences right away,it's going to be an easy migration so,just keep that in mind really focusing,on one thing otherwise you kind of get,lost in the sauce as they say too,distracted now between the two platforms,there's huge differences number one,understand first and foremost that if,you go with facebook you will run into,problems with being disabled,for no reason restricted for no reason,and potentially banned,for no reason it got to the point where,about a year and a half ago i had to,start remote accessing other computers,on different servers,using dozens of other people's facebook,profiles across hundreds of different ad,accounts with multiple backup pixels on,everything,we're talking about an infrastructure,that costed about 65 000 to build,and about 15 000 a month to manage and,maintain,that's not advertising cost that is,structure cost,so that's what i had to do to get around,stuff because i was doing,nothing wrong i was selling stuff that,wasn't showing any skin,it wasn't remotely close to violin in a,policy but that's facebook for you it's,hard to explain and as someone who,you know if you don't run ads that might,sound crazy and weird to you but that is,truly just what the platform is be,prepared for a world of headaches,here's why facebook is a great option,though it's,really not that hard to master okay,excuse me there it's really not that,hard to make money with,anything like that is difficult to,master but it's a platform,that in my opinion is the lowest cost,to start if you want to start something,from scratch with tick tock ads or start,something from scratch with google,based on my experience it's going to,take you more money,to do that okay and there's certain,products on tick tock where it just,might pop off faster,but in my experience facebook at least,with the skills that i have is,pretty simple to get the ball rolling,with you know inside of our e-commerce,program we put a lot of attention on,facebook for a simple reason,any business owner that's getting,started you need cash flow,without cash flow your business can't,survive you need positive money coming,in,right total gross revenue expenses,there's your profit left you need a,profit margin with that you can now,venture into other things and it makes,making more money even easier because,now you can do all sorts of different,things that cost money,so facebook is probably going to be the,best option for you,if you are looking for extreme,consistency if you want to grow it,really slowly,and if you also want something that is,probably targeted towards a more,specific audience,and ideally an audience that's 35 years,old or older,that is the prime category my main brand,inside the health and orthopedic space,we service about 65 of our customers are,35 and above,the rest of those out of that 35,probably 25,of them are like probably 28 and above,so it's very,rare that they're in the 25 year old and,under,category it's very rare that that,happens and,this made tick tock ads not very,efficient because tick tock is just a,younger platform,that's all it is it's also a platform,that is very,general from an advertising perspective,so go go ahead open a business account,on tick tock,you can see it doesn't cost you anything,and you'll see instantly the similarity,how they literally ripped off facebook,and it's a it's a exact format copy,which makes it easy to run if you're,familiar with facebook but tick tock is,probably going to work the best for you,if you have a more,general viral organic type product you,know things that are,led light strips led light bulbs um,you're just crazy little phone cases,anything that can kind of go viral you,know like,the lighters that are electric and don't,use any gas or butane i sold like 600,grand

today I'll be revealing my personal Tick,Tock ad strategy you only need fifty,dollars to get started and you can,quickly scale your stores once you have,a winner to get started we need to,install The Tick Tock app onto our,Shopify store inside of the tick tock,app though the first thing we need to do,is hit continue setup and we're going to,have to attach our business manager if,you've never made a business manager on,Tick Tock before just click create new,go through the steps and get your,account made so once your business,manager is added we can move on over to,our ads manager now I have a few of,these ad accounts already linked to,other stores but you can just click,create new and add a new one on the spot,if you don't have a registered business,yet you can put your first and last name,here or you can just put the name of,your Shopify store and just like that,our ad account is made so underneath,data sharing just go on over to maximum,there's no reason not to pick this this,is just going to get as much data from,the people on our site as possible and,for this Tick Tock pixel it'll Auto,automatically create this when you add,the tick tock app to your store the,pixel basically tracks all the actions a,customer takes on our website so if a,customer purchases then the pixel will,tell your Tick Tock ads manager which ad,in particular got that sale from here,though we can click confirm It'll ask,you for some basic info like your name,whatever but once that's good just hit,finish setup and now we can go on over,to tick tock so I can show you how this,ad strategy actually works quick,Interruption I launched a Drop Shipping,Discord server you can find the link in,my pin comment or at the top of the,description so come on over to,business.ticktock.com and this should,take you to the tick tock ads dashboard,so from here you want to come up top and,select your campaign now you're going to,notice there's a bunch of options here,but the one we want to focus on is,underneath conversions and website,conversions this is gonna let us up,optimize our campaign to get as many,purchases as possible so from here,scroll down for the campaign name you,can just call this product test day one,or however you want to phrase it it,really doesn't matter and we do want to,come on over to campaign budget,optimization so just toggle this on and,for the daily budget we're gonna put,fifty dollars this is the bare minimum,you can do if you don't know what,campaign budget optimization is don't,stress it now we'll cover it as the,video progresses though so now we can,come on over to continue and actually,edit at the ad group level so for this,we're just going to call this open one,now this won't make much sense yet but,very soon it'll all come together now we,want to send them to an external website,underneath Tick Tock pixel we want to,select the pixel we just made and for,our optimization event we want to select,complete payment now for placements you,want to come to select placement and,only put them on Tick Tock um these,other two apps don't really matter that,much now for the creative type you want,to toggle on automated creative,optimization again this is going to be a,little confusing now but once we go on,over to the next step it's all going to,come together and you're going to be,like damn I need to try this out now for,your targeting I like to select custom,targeting for the location I'm in the,USA so I Target United States but we're,also going to add Canada too because,that's a North American country for the,languages you can leave this as all I,mean Canada and United States mainly,speak English anyway so it's not a big,deal for the gender leave this as all,unless it's a female specific product,now for testing I always leave the,household income to all but let's say,you do have a winner then you can go,back and test some of these out later,now for audiences you can just ignore,this tab now when it comes to interest,there's a whole bunch of custom,targeting you can do however for the,sake of testing don't add any just leave,all four of these boxes blank leave them,default and trust me take talk is going,to know who your customer is after just,a few pennies spent on the platform and,they're gonna optimize that,like crazy now for device if you're,selling like a phone case you can choose,which device they're on but for me just,leave this is all and for Target,expansion you can leave this turned off,as well now for the budget we already,set it to 50 at the campaign level for,scheduling ads I always recommend you,put it for midnight of the next day so,boom we have it for the next day at,midnight literally going live one thing,a lot of people do as well though is,adding a specific time so let's say that's the agency,account that I have made so we just,click connect pretty easy to go and the,next thing would be your pixel you,always want to do maximum get the,broadest audience going on and then for,Pixel I usually like to create a new,pixel when I start a new business so,just like that we will click on confirm,and honestly even having a pixel in your,store there's a lot of contention around,that so we'll get into that a little bit,later but that is how you set things up,in Shopify now the next thing I would,recommend setting up before you launch,your campaign is having those columns,you need to have your numbers ready to,go on what you're going to analyze now,you don't need to have all these,analytics this is just personally what I,like to have so first off I always like,to do what's my total cost how much am I,spending then my CPM that's just really,a good gauge for me to see okay are we,spending in the right places because if,my CPM is above a certain number,typically above 10 to 20 dollars I,usually think all right I need to go,broader here maybe try out some,different locations maybe that could be,what it is I'm just doing United States,and my cpm's 30. so let me try the big,four countries and see if that lowers,next things are pretty self-explanatory,so how many clicks am I getting now the,total view content the reason why I have,this I know most people don't is because,I can see from the amount of people that,clicked let's say a hundred people click,on my ad I want to make sure I'm as,close as 100 view contents as possible,to the clicks because I know if a,hundred people click my ad and let's say,only 80 of them actually view content,which is viewing your product page I,know I have a speed score issues so it's,a nice little gut check to see all right,is my website converting well so that's,personally why I like to have it you may,not have it it's up to you now the next,thing CPC pretty self-explanatory CPC,CTR these are both for my ads so for CPC,I tend to aim on 50 cents or lower,honestly because cpms are a little bit,higher now on Tick Tock I would say,anything under a dollar is pretty decent,but the most important thing is always,are your ads profitable so
