on,thousands of different accounts this is,actually the way that we come up with,strategies that work for us we have a,sheet that looks like this and you can,easily come up with a spreadsheet where,you have a base control testing strategy,like this one right here where you have,five ad groups three of them with,interest two no targeting and how you,can develop your strategy over time,especially when you're doing a lot of,tests is you can introduce a little bit,of chaos with having an independent,variable so for us when we're doing,split testing we always will do one,variable changing from our original,control group so in this instance with,this top column we did us with australia,for the targeting instead of us and,canada and then what we would do is,measure the results what is going on guys nobur here back,again with another video and today i'm,going to be answering a common question,that i get on my videos and in my dms on,instagram and that is how do i stop my,tic toc ads from dying out this is kind,of a subject that has been brought up,because normally with facebook we kind,of just start up you know using one ad,and we follow this proven method but,with tick tock ads things are a little,bit more up in the air i guess you can,say and also they're a little bit more,unpredictable in terms of like how long,is your campaign actually gonna last how,long is your ad going to last and and,honestly a lot of people are just,starting up campaigns being super,profitable for the first three days to a,week and then after that just having it,completely die out and not perform good,anymore so this is obviously annoying,and with our experience we've obviously,encountered this ourselves and it was a,little bit frustrating in the beginning,but obviously it was just a matter of,like testing some things trying to,figure out the algorithms and the,optimization trying to figure out how,the platform works and how to best take,advantage of it so of course we learned,a few things that i'm essentially just,going to be sharing with you in this,video on how you can essentially do,everything in your power to make sure,that your ads last as long as they can,and we're not just talking about the,creative here we're talking about,actually being able to scale a product,for longer than a week because i know a,lot of people kind of scale to a week,and then they just die out so we want to,talk about how you can actually maintain,a product scale for longer than a week,you know going on to two three four five,months and still be profitable the whole,time so there are a few things that we,are going to cover in this video i'll go,a little bit in depth on some of them,but some of them are pretty,self-explanatory and we don't have to go,that in-depth on them so from what we've,seen so far there's only a few things,really that are causing campaigns or ads,or ad groups to die out number one is ad,fatigue so this is commonly known as,like when your ad is just seen by so,many people that it just stops,performing as well the initial pocket of,excitement or like the initial jump,start of excitement when you first,launch a new creative it kind of fizzles,out and over time it just stops,performing as well so that's number one,number two i would say is momentum in,the ad account which by the way these,are in order but momentum in the ad,account is essentially your continuous,ability to create new campaigns ad,groups you know basically just new,things that perform really good and for,example if you're on a winning streak in,my opinion it's way less likely to die,out than if you just started something a,week ago and you just let it run and,forget about it the next reason that i,see tick tock ads dying out is customer,service issues and fulfillment issues so,long shipping times we'll get into why,this affects your tick tock ads during,this part of the video and obviously the,last one which i'm not going to go too,in depth on i'll talk a little bit about,it right now which is tick tock bands so,just like facebook tick tock reserves,the right to disapprove your ads and,they also reserve the right to ban your,account and the best thing to do to,avoid this like the best thing that i,can say honestly is just read the tik,tok ad policy and do your absolute best,to try to not break the ad policy which,i know is sometimes hard and it's a,little bit unpredictable on like okay,what breaks the policy and what doesn't,the good news is that tick tock has a,really great customer support line,unlike facebook where you know you kind,of have to like stretch if you can even,contact their customer support it's,usually always a copy and paste or it's,a bot on the other end so that's the,good news with tiktok is while we do see,accounts getting banned it's a lot,easier to get those accounts back and,actually move forward from that point,just because you can reach out to a,support rep and usually they're nice,enough to you know tell you exactly what,you did wrong and then you can go and,fix it and then they'll go into your,account and re-enable you so these are,the main things i'm going to go in depth,on only a few of these because i think,that not every single one of these needs,to be gone in depth but the ones that i,think do matter i'm going to be sharing,everything that i know about them so the,first one that we're hey guys so i finally have an update for,you i know i've been kind of gone for a,few weeks just got done with a vacation,for like two weeks honestly guys long,vacations are not it definitely stick to,the shorter ones so i wanted to kind of,give you guys an update what's going on,i know a lot of you guys been sitting,tick tock bands,and you guys have been trying different,methods so i kind of want to address,some of those methods,tell you what will work best,and tell you how to kind of overcome or,avoid these bands so,first of all,um let's just go straight to the band,part because that's what a lot of you,guys been asking so,tick-tock bands the reason why they are,happening or so suddenly they just kind,of start hitting everybody is,there's a thing called like,uh band sweeps they're quite often,happen in facebook in the early days,they just have like three months where,you get banned whatever you try running,you just get banned no matter even if,you run like cat videos you still get,banned so that happens,um it is annoying,typically the last couple months,um not much you can do about it but here,are some things that we can,avoid or things that we could pretty,much help ourselves not to get banned so,first of all guys i'll say creatives,i know,um i've kind of given you guys a,creative so i'm trying to figure out a,good way to let the new guys start off,with creatives and not getting banned,but while the more experienced guys to,make their own creatives because if,everybody's in the same creative is,right they kind of could link all the,accounts together and just ban everybody,at once that's kind of what happened,so,um trying to figure that out but make,your own creatives especially if you're,running some traffic making some money,and you got to figure out major and,craves they're pretty simple um you know,you could hire somebody on fiverr you,know go on fiverr search spoke person,hire somebody you'll even see the guys,that i hire or dm,you know some tick tock,you know well what works a lot is you,know having a cute girl,dance or some,make even like hey you know get this,loan,that helps as well write a script,however when you make your own cribs you,have to get them approved by the am so,please message your am because the,reason they do this is,um the people that buy the leads want to,make sure that the ads are compliant,they're not running some scammy stuff,like you know pictures of biotin and,stuff like that obviously you know you,could get really cheap cpas by doing,things that are very,illegal,that's kind of illegal you know running,uh government stuff,um but you know you'll get leads for,very cheap but you'll get cut real quick,because um the people that are signing,up for it think that it's free money but,it's actually not and so you'll be,removed from the offer that's how it,always is,um,so number one make better creatives,make your own creatives number two is,that,um,we swap so,uh urls or domains get flagged as well,so we swapping on offer 209 we're,swapping like every three days every,four days we're swapping a different,domain so we're addressing that issue so,if you kept getting banned like a week,ago and you can figure out try again now,um because you're gonna get a new link,and typically you know we have like,hundreds of these links so,you might not get banned again,um,so that's mainly to you know creative uh,and domain now if we want if you're,trying those both and you're still,getting banned i'll probably go a little,bit more granular,and look into,um,payment methods so if you could get a,different card switch it up cool,resources privacy they link to your bank,account,it's only for debit cards unfortunately,you can't use credit cards with them but,link to your bank account and they will,pretty much,give you issue you a different credit,card a different debit card every time,so let's say you know,and it's privacy.com look into it's,pretty simple,um,and then another one is,your ip address,now see i'm,i don't think they're doing this because,it's really advanced trying to figure,out in blacklist ips but they could be,so you know a good way to do that is,don't use vpn guys because vpns are,always flagged um so don't use vpns what,i'll suggest is go to coffee shop and,make a tick tock account there,um i think it's one account creation not,when you use the account you could still,probably log in in the ip that got you,banned and be fine,or you could uh,tether your phone and do a hot spot,and that will pretty much,change your ip so if you go on airplane,mode wait five minutes remove airplane,mode you can see what's my ip and your,ip gets renewed so that's another way to,switch up ip,but those are probably the main four,things i'll tell you guys to tackle things around  ,content because that is so important to make sure  that you make tick tock ads work the first step  ,you're going to want to do is set up your shopify  store if you haven't set up your carry on watching we're going to get  ,into the nitty gritty in a second once this is set  up we can click this section here setting up the  ,pixel the next step you can see that it's saying  connect tick tock for business this is where you  ,need a new tick tock account already have a tick  tock business account you can just click connect  ,but today we're gonna have to create a brand new  one so i'm just gonna click create new at the top  ,enter my email address get the verification code  sent into the verification code here agree to  ,terms and conditions and just click sign up you  can click connect down the bottom right and that's  ,now created an ads manager business manager under  that email we can click create new ad account and  ,we can select the country and the currency that we  want to be built in this is generally the region  ,that you want to be targeting change the business  name to something a little bit simpler click sign  ,up and connect you'll come to this data sharing  section which we've touched on a few times in my  ,previous episodes just click enhanced or maximum  providing you've got the terms and conditions set  ,up for something and then click confirm maximum  is obviously preferred this is how shopify shares  ,data with ticktock this is referred to as capi  which is a partnership between shopify and the  ,advertising platform click set up enter your final  details make sure you connect automatic payment  ,click confirm and you should be ready to go now  to create tick-tock ads we're actually going to  ,have to go back to the tick-tock view because we're  on a page when you add a product to cart it should  ,fire the add to cart pixel or if someone purchases  you can test a purchase and it will also fire that  ,pixel in the exact right way so now we're in  the tiktok ads account we can go ahead and  ,create our first campaign campaign structures  are really important to talk about it's what  ,separates good advertisers from you know what guys i didn't even want to,make the stupid video with the stupid,problem and stupid solution you know but,so many of you have been dming me about,tick tock spending issues and don't,worry i've been dealing with these,spending issues as well as a matter of,fact it's been making me want to rip my,goddamn hair out for the past six months,because ever since i started product,testing on tick tock we've been running,into spending issues and what do you do,it's so annoying i came out with a video,a little bit ago talking about how to,solve the problems but,lo and behold tick tock made a update,and it with the optimization,again so here we are with a new problem,and a new solution and yes in this video,i will be giving you a solution that,works ninety percent of the time when it,comes to fixing your spending issues,with tick tock ads now what spending,issues am i talking about specifically,there's basically two things that could,happen you create a new campaign and the,ads don't spend or they'll spend a very,little amount of the budget and they're,just not spending properly at all,another thing that happens is maybe you,have a campaign that's performing,incredibly well for like three to four,days or maybe even a week and then all,of a sudden you wake up one morning and,it stops spending and you want to rip,your eyes out and you also want to rip,your hair out and you're just ready to,say tick-tock ads and just go,somewhere else because ah these spending,issues just i understand i get the,problem we found a solution because,we're testing a ridiculous amount of,products on tick tock and we had to find,a solution right and the products that,we were finding that were ending up,being profitable we can't just be waking,up every morning to our ads not spending,we have to solve this problem so we have,observed numerous problems and numerous,solutions in the past with tick-tock ads,not spending it honestly seems to be a,recurring theme with tick-tock maybe,they just don't like to spend maybe they,just don't want our money well it's,probably not the case but there are,glitches and things that happen with the,optimization and whatever that causes,them not to spend,but the new reason and,i hate that i have to admit this and i i,think it's really really stupid and i,don't want to go this direction because,we went this direction with facebook in,the past not in the right way and okay,i'll just shut up and say it pixel,optimization i believe is the reason,that tick tock ads are not spending at,least right now,i think before we ran into issues such,as manual bidding um you just basically,switched it to lowest cost and all of,our problems went away well that doesn't,necessarily work every time anymore,and now i think the problem is more due,to simple pixel optimization which,honestly this really pisses me off and i,hate that i have to recommend this,solution to you guys but i have the,solution and it probably will work so,pay attention the reason i say i hate,this solution and i hate that i have to,recommend it to you is because you know,that as a part of my religion always,optimize for what you want to get we'll,get into this a little bit later there's,one more solution that we'll also talk,about here that is pretty funny um but,in this video i am going to recommend,you to optimize for something other than,purchases okay it's the only video where,i'll ever do this right it's against my,religion and it feels so illegal to even,recommend to optimize for add to carts,okay but we'll get into it in a minute,first i want to talk about one solution,that is also very stupid but i want to,put it out there so that you guys are,aware of it and i call it the,unexplainable okay so some campaigns for,whatever reason under god's given earth,okay the campaigns just take a day or,two to start spending now this could,mean whatever you want it to mean i,don't really know why this happens maybe,it just takes some time for the pixel to,get used to optimizing for whatever,you're optimizing for it should be,purchases right but then the question,comes up like most of the time and,honestly we have tested this,if you let your campaign just sit there,for a day or two,the chances of it actually spending are,pretty high and this could happen on day,one day two day three day four but the,question is is it worth you know waiting,two days just to see if your campaign is,gonna spend and my obvious answer is no,like that you shouldn't be sitting,around waiting to see if your ads are,going to spend you should be doing,things to fix the problem not waiting to,see if the problem fixes itself and to,be honest most of the time,at least sometimes the problem does fix,itself but don't just sit on your ass,and let your campaign sit there okay,because we have a real solution that you,can take action on right now that should,get your ads to spend in let's  ,start off with some data we need to understand  the opportunity here now tik tok was the most  ,downloaded app in 2020 with 850 million downloads  okay tiktok has 1.1 billion active users worldwide  ,with 90 of users using the app multiple times per  day so we can get ourselves in front of our ideal  ,customer multiple times a day on average now as  of january 2021 tick tock raked in 128 million in  ,user spending marking an increase of 380 from its  january 2020 revenue so it's growing year on year  ,almost 4x in user revenue now take top ranks  as the second biggest app in consumer spend  ,above youtube disney plus and netflix this  is probably the uh the biggest stat on this  ,screen ranking above youtube and netflix in  consumer spend is absolutely ridiculous so  ,it's a monumental opportunity for people and  businesses to sell their products on the platform  ,how many times have you spoken to someone they've  said ah i found that product on tick tock it's  ,happening a lot these days so let's jump on to how  you can actually make the most of that so this is  ,the tick tock ad structure so at the top we have  tick tocks ad manager then we have ad campaigns  ,we have ad groups we have ad creative and then  landing pages to break these down one by one tick  ,doc ads manager is where you manage your ticktock  advertising account similar to the facebook  ,ad manager now a ad campaign is the foundation  of your ad so we're setting up our advertising  ,objectives and formats we then have ad group which  is target audiences ad placements budget and the  ,bidding then we have the ad creative which is  the text and the video that will appear on our  ,apps what we're physically seeing then finally our  landing page and this is the destination url that  ,we are driving our potential customers too this  is the place where they will actually buy our  ,products or service so when you actually have your  tick tock ad account up and running this is kind  ,of what the format will look like we have our ad  manager at the top we have campaigns beneath that  ,then inside an ad campaign we would have multiple  ad groups so we'll be testing out multiple  ,audiences and inside those audiences we may even  be testing out multiple different ad creatives  ,as well so what are the actual creative the the  creative formats that we can use on tick tock well  ,we have top view on the left hand side here which  is like a full-size video which shows up when we  ,launch the app we don't have brand tank takeover  now these are the most expensive tic toc ads and  ,very large brands use these and again these come  up right at the start of launching the app and it  ,takes over the entire screen then have in feed ads  this is what we're going to be going through today  ,and what most businesses are actually using  to generate the most revenue from tick tock  ,we have branded hashtag challenges so if we  want to launch a challenge on the platform and  ,then finally branded event so we want to have our  own branded stickers on uh on tick tock itself so  ,people can use them when they're creating their  own content but as i said in feed ads it's what is going on guys Noah Burr here,back again with part seven of the,quarter four spark series we're flying,right through these and these videos are,incredibly valuable so I hope that,you're enjoying them so far now a couple,videos ago I made a video uh exposing my,full product testing strategy and,towards the end of it I showed you how,to analyze and determine if a product is,actually a winner or if you should just,turn it off and move on but I left off,basically at the point where if you got,two sales within 80 to 100 spent that's,where I left off so I didn't talk about,what to do after that point which is,what this video is going to be right,here so today we're going to be talking,about what you should actually do if you,think you actually may have a winning,product whether it's slightly losing a,little bit of money or breaking even or,even profitable what are the next steps,to actually transition into scaling so,that you can start hitting bigger,numbers and get to that thousand dollar,day two thousand three thousand dollar a,day point so like I said in the last,video that we talked about this we left,off at a point where if you have 2 two,sales at 80 to 100 spent then you should,not turn the product off and probably,retest it what I meant by that is when,you get to this point you have two,options option number one is basically,killing the original campaign and then,recreating a new Campaign which we'll,talk about in a minute what that new,campaign should be and your option,number two is letting your original,campaign run into day two and also,making a new campaign for day two so,obviously if you're on a tighter budget,makes a little bit more sense to turn it,off and then recreate a new one but if,you don't care about the budget and you,want to give it the highest possible,chance of working and just set things up,better for down the road then I would,recommend leaving the original campaign,on when you make the new campaign now,for the new campaign itself you also,have two options you can either make a,new campaign and leave everything,exactly the same or you can make a new,campaign and change one variable now,what variables do you change I have a,video coming up I believe it's the video,that's going to be uploaded after this,one where I will be showing showing you,exactly what variables are the best to,test at what different stages how they,perform like which ones have the highest,success rate the timing the best times,to test out each different variable so,things like new creatives different,optimization goals different targeting,you know things like that I'm just going,to give all the variables out so that,you have a big list of them and you can,basically determine what would be best,for your specific scenario so again,either kill your original campaign and,then make a new campaign or leave the,original campaign on for day two and,then make a new campaign and then for,the new campaign either recreate the,original campaign in the same exact way,or recreate the campaign and change a,variable now I will say that how do you,determine what the best thing to do is,because these things are very,situational and what you need to do in,your specific situation is going to be,different than what another person may,do is I would say in the scenario of if,you were breaking even on your first day,then it's not that bad of an idea to,just recreate the campaign in the same,way because most of the the time day two,for whatever reason usually yields,better results than day one so most of,the time by changing nothing you can get,better results and see how the product,would do on a different day however if,your results are really bad like let's,say you spent a hundred dollars in sales,and you did like 60 in Revenue then it,may make more sense to actually change a,variable that way it has a higher chance,of working so I would say if you're,breaking even or profitable it's,probably safe to just leave everything,the same in the new campaign but if,you're losing a little bit of money and,you think it could do a little bit,better then it makes more sense to try,out a new variable now this arises the,question why are we turning off the,original campaign or making a new,campaign in the first place well I think,creating a new campaign has a higher,success rate than letting a campaign run,so for example if I created 10 campaigns,and then let those 10 campaigns run into,day two I would see on average 30 to 40,percent of those campaigns on day two,actually end up being profitable but if,I take those same 10 campaigns and then,turn them all off and then create 10,brand new ones on day two instead of,letting it run then I might see a 60 to,70 percent success rate with those new,campaigns this is just an observation,that I've made it's statistical for me I,don't have the exact numbers and exact,percentages but I know for almost a fact,that creating a new Campaign Will almost,always yield a higher chance of success,than letting a campa
