nobody,ever thinks oh are the advertisers bad,and that's mostly because YouTube does a,good job well supposedly they do a good,job of screening ads that come on their,platform but tick tock they're much,newer so during my time on tick tock,I've come across some ads that are just,plain scams and also some ads for,products that are just plain dangerous,so today we will be going over those so,the first ad that we're gonna look at is,a scam it's not really dangerous unless,you're a wallet because then it's,dangerous because you're wasting mine,anyway let's just take a look,so I swap out the music for this because,it's playing alan Walker's faded which,is emotional it's supposed to get you,into the emotional tone for this video,it's like you know think about the stars,and be all emotional and how beautiful,it is you know it's all part of the scam,to kind of like turn you in to want to,buy this product,so basically you get the gist of it it's,for one of those light projector things,that supposed to put like a starry you,know spectrum are what I don't know the,word for it basically it makes your,darkroom pretty and looking like the,solar system and I mean that's pretty,cool I mean who wouldn't want that,the only problem is if we take a look at,the comments which I'm about to do we,notice that it's a scan,imagine expecting this to be as cool as,advertised was seriously about to buy,this glad I read the comments first,thanks guys you would think that an,advertiser who's clearly making a scam,would turn off their comments but,clearly they're dumb enough to not do so,or maybe tik-tok actually has some,policies meant to protect consumers but,you never know because this is probably,just some drop shipped crap you know all,those people are like they're just drop,shipping some crap from China and you,know tick doctors news they haven't been,running ads forever they haven't dealt,with all the scams right so their,marketing department probably isn't like,you know what we should screen these ads,that are coming in because they might,not be trustworthy yeah you know and,like if you want to run any ads on,tick-tock the minimum amount you have to,spend is $500 right so tick-tock is more,about making that numb that money than,they are about protecting their,consumers which sucks,I mean chick talk fix your stuff you,have so many impressionable stupid kids,are no smart adults and funny comedians,on there obviously I'm not in danger of,falling for these scams but the kids are,but yeah tick tock really needs to take,a look into how it verifies its ads that,it's putting on its platform because,it's a bad look let's take a look at,some more comments I bought it extremely,disappointed the only thing that stopped,me to watch this was listened to was to,listen to Albuquerque's kids don't know,how to speak English this is drug do not,buy I bought two of them,just a box of plastic do not so glad I,read the comments first I was getting,ready to buy thanks to the projector it's $600 but,the home star from Amazon is a decent,one for 170 now this guy is a hero he's,going in and saying you know what this,product is crap but you can get,something that isn't crap with this one anyway,in today's video I'm going to be testing,some things that I bought because of,tick tock these things that I've,purchased came up as an ad on my Tick,Tock feed you know every so often when,you're scrolling you keep going you keep,going and then an ad will pop up for a,random thing it seems to be the most,random things for me sometimes it's,beauty stuff and other stuff is like,cookie dough or a mattress or something,and these are some of the things that I,was genuinely curious in and so I,ordered them I think I've done something,like this before where I bought stuff,that was on Tick Tock lives I can't,remember if I've done an ads one but,here it is today let's just get into it,by the way if you want the details about,if you want the details this makeup it's,on my Instagram I listed all of the,products that I used okay so this first,Tick Tock ad that came up I actually had,a few different brands or accounts,posting the same product and basically,what I have generally found is that a,lot of the products that come up on Tick,Tock ads are sort of like Drop Shipping,type things so the company will purchase,a load of a particular product that's,just like a wholesale type product that,buy loads of them and then like Mark up,the price loads and sell them on their,website and I mean loads of stuff is,done by Drop Shipping anyway but just a,little hack here if you click on a,product on Tick Tock it comes up say,it's like 20 quid look at the sort of,brand name that's actually written on,that product in this example it is a lip,Plumping product and type that in on,Amazon or Ebay and it will probably come,up with loads of Cheaper things because,it's all the same brand and it's just,like bulk bought and then marked up for,higher prices on people's Tick Tock,shops but the brand in particular I,ended up seeing is called at syrup,cosmetics and in this ad it looks very,extreme there is a woman testing this,and this is no more lip fillers watch,till they end she's put this on half her,lips and the side that she's put it on I,mean to be fair it looks like she's had,an allergic reaction it's definitely,very plump on the side that she put it,on but it does look a little bit,dangerous so I clicked through to their,website it was a us-based website I,believe and it said it was the syrup day,and night lip plumper reduced from 50.95,to 28.95 lies it was never 50.95 in the,first place I can guarantee you sorry I,really feel like I'm going in on this,particular company like so many other,companies do this but they'll put like,was 50 now 28 dollars to sort of entice,you and be like oh it's a good deal it's,on sale when in reality I went on Amazon,typed in the roll lip plumper because,that's what's actually written on it and,I got the exact same thing for nine,pounds this one seems to be the daytime,one this one seems to be the nighttime,one but I don't know what the difference,is I think honestly I'm just gonna put,both of them on and hope for the best I,might actually try it on one half of my,lips they're very small teeny tiny,little they look like pills in the,information it just says daytime use,ginger Essence lips plump use at night,mint Night Repair moist lips double,effect unification collocation is used,for plump lips,I'm confused let's try the daytime one,so these are my lips before,well I mean I guess be,covering the top five ways you can learn,from the lessons that i have after,spending six hundred thousand dollars on,tick tock ads,hello everyone my name is chase chapel,your favorite digital marketer here,let's get into this video so these are,the lessons from spending 600 000,dollars in tick tock ads and i would,have been far better off if i had,already learned these lessons in advance,or had somebody to really guide me,through the process of understanding,what it is that make tick tock ads,convert how to structure the audiences,and all of the learnings that we've had,from seconds to 34 seconds,have a 280 percent lift and conversion,yes you heard that right 21 seconds to,34 seconds if you literally just have,tick tock ads that are at least 21 to 34,seconds long,you automatically have a competitive,advantage over other tick tock,advertisers and the reason for this lift,and conversions is because that's enough,time for you to deliver information in a,concise way to the actual consumer that,might be purchasing your product or the,business that might actually be you know,choosing to work with your service and,you want to time it between 21 to 34,seconds you don't want it to be overly,long you don't want it to be overly,short,so definitely try to be within this,range because you are going to see much,better conversions by doing so and this,is data that ticktalk actually has from,you know hundreds of thousands of,advertisers that are actually already on,the platform and we're seeing this with,our results too videos that are between,21 to 34 seconds do actually convert,better,and we also see that the 9 16 aspect,ratio does help with lifting conversions,that is vertical video y'all you'll want,to make sure you have vertical video you,don't want to try to apply square video,and have these black spaces in between,the actual video you want to make sure,that these videos are actually vertical,tick tock is a vertical placement so you,want to make sure your content actually,fits for tick tock so make sure you have,a 9x16 aspect ratio in your actual,videos that is simply filming on your,phone that's the best way to do it to,actually keep the vertical video in,check and that resolution is actually,going to be higher and that actually,leads us to the next point if your video,is actually above 720p you're going to,see a 312 lifting conversion so if you,just apply these three things you're,going to see you know 280 lift and 91,left and even up to a 312 percent lift,in conversions by having hd video if you,upload a very low quality video the back,door is this you're likely going to get,much less conversions than other,accounts would and if you have ads that,are actually converting now with a low,quality video well if you just upgrade,the quality you could be seeing much,better conversions at the exact same,cost the next thing is number two and,that's tick tock user generated content,this is very big because you have,branded ads and you have spark ads,branded ads are essentially what you see,here this is an ad by go clove and you,know their shoe brand and they have,these actual you know branded outline,where it has the colors of their blue,they're green and the actual ad and it's,very branded and when you come across it,looks very much so like an ad these,types of ads do work to some degree and,you know do have good conversion rates,depending on you know how they're,actually flexing their brand and,actually driving you know consideration,and actually having people make the,conversion based off of what's actually,in the actual ad and you can see has 57,likes you know people are commenting,that they are interested in the product,which is a good thing but overall we're,seeing much better results recruit,children into the world of credit card,fraud and financial crime,it's no secret that i dislike the,platform i have multiple videos on the,channel which discuss and expose various,different scams such as a gaming scam,where fortnite esports teams were,falsely claiming that they owned a,mansion in order to get referral code,revenue from young children i've posted,critique and commentary of the general,dangers on tick tock from decreased,attention span to predatory grooming and,i've criticized the implications of a,chinese government-influenced company,being responsible for the app's,development but today i'm going to go,even further let's begin with something,a little less dangerous and work our way,up to the much more severe issues to,start with i want to talk about alkaline,water alkaline water is basically,ordinary except for having a slightly,higher ph level proponents of the water,will claim a variety of health benefits,but mainstream scientific study has,concluded that there is very little,difference so why am i talking about it,the answer is pretty simple if you start,to search for terms like alkaline water,on tick tock you'll begin to find,multi-million view videos advertising,the tremendous benefits these videos,showcase that the water has a different,ph level obviously and go on to say that,bottled water is much less healthy they,will also say a variety of other tag,lines such as promotes health in the,body or medical grade water but let's,dig a little deeper on this one of these,videos with over 3.9 million views by,itself claims directly that doctors are,keeping us sick by recommending,pedialyte because pedialyte is acidic,which means more disease sickness and,inflammation this video by delaney,mamuson i believe it's i don't care how,it's pronounced goes on to do a basic ph,test and then ends with her saying for,sure don't want to be drinking this,anymore basically she is saying that,your doctor is keeping you sick by,promoting something acidic and the water,you drink is unhealthy and why would she,do this well if you go to her link tree,which is just a centralized promotional,page that many tik tok creators use in,their bio for all sorts of different,profiles and social media pages you'll,find this little button right here this,button which reads order your water,machine will take you to a page in the,enagic store for a level lock k8 which,is a 5 000 anti-oxidizer what's even,more interesting is that in the upper,right hand corner there's a set of,numbers there is the enroller id and the,sponsor id this number exists because,the kangen water systems are a,multi-level marketing scam the enroller,draws profit as a member of the pyramid,scheme while the sponsor id most likely,refers to that user's individual,verification code because they are,almost certainly getting a hefty,commission from the sale of a radically,overpriced machine daisy mamison is,quite literally claiming that your,doctor is making you sick and that the,solution is to buy a five thousand,dollar ionization system that doesn't,have any health benefits great job girl,and you slay queen but anyway that's,just the tip of the iceberg if you,explore further you'll find that there,are hundreds of these channels who are,almost exclusively dedicated to the,production of water safety videos this,one is ben landry who gets millions and,millions of views constantly producing,almost the exact same video every single,time saying that regular water ages you,faster and if we click his profile then,his link tree we find the same water,machine five thousand dollars to do,absolutely nothing sold to you on fear,and right here plain as day are his,sponsor and enroller identification tags,here's a few more ryan allen bell some,of his videos have 400 600 even 800 000,views he has garnered millions upon,millions of hits while claiming that the,water you drink is damaging and in his,link tree we find the same 5 000 filter,id tag sponsor tag same as the others,the next one is a carbon copy of the,first and i believe the most damaging,type of promotion for this water filter,arctic dessert life which appears to be,a couple is pretending to hundreds of,thousands of people that doctors are,keeping us sick and that you need to,have water that isn't going to make you,get more diseases same link same,hardware same exact scam this girl,elizabeth g murrow looks fairly normal,till you scroll down and find that she,was recently producing water alkaline,comparison videos some garnering over 2,million views on Tick Tock this,product had a very big wow factor it was,scroll stopping and it serves a very,broad audience combine all that with,creatives that are very native to the,platform and an irresistible offer,you're able to really scale things up,with Tick Tock this product is priced,above 45 dollars and we've had roughly,like a 50 aov throughout the lifetime of,the store however we've only maintained,a 60 gross margin and that's because,I've tested increasing the price a lot,but the conversion just dips off so hard,about fifty dollars so like I said,earlier I started out this product as a,tick tock organic brand and I hit,multiple uh high five figure days I've,done that with some other products as,well and I'll show some of the organic,and influencer videos very shortly I,didn't start running ads with this brand,until June of 2021. once I started,running ads it was working so well so I,just stopped doing influencers and,organic videos so when I found this,product there was really only one main,competitor on Tick Tock and they were,doing well but they just weren't posting,that often on their page so I knew if I,came in and I posted a lot more and I,also posted better liked ad creatives on,the entire Tick Tock platform with a 114,million impressions so the funny thing,about this brand is pretty much all of,the content has been made by myself,there was a period of time in early 2021,when I was paying someone to make some,organic content and they did pretty well,but it didn't last that long the,creative I just showed you guys that had,a 115 million impressions was literally,made in my bedroom myself that just,shows you guys you really don't need,much to be able to scale with Tick Tock,ads so as I said earlier we did multiple,high five figure days with Tick I took this screenshot here of,this mini 4K projector Tick Tock ad scam,two days ago on November 28th I also,saved the link so I can make this video,notice that it says here it was only,available on that day two days ago for,only three dollars only on that day,however like I said I saved the link so,I checked out the link two days later,November 30th that's today and it went,to mondaydiscount.com that's,m-o-n-d-e-discount.com however it,redirected to a website named,overstock-us.com I looked up the who is,domain registration information for,overstock-us.com and it was registered,today November 30th yeah big red flag so,what does this mean this means that,sometime in the last 48 hours between,November 28th and 30th 2022 the people,operating the scam redirected their link,to a brand new website overstock-us.com,maybe because the old one got shut down,also this overstock-us.com website,didn't say the word Overstock you know,in a logo at the top of the website for,its company name it instead said modern,New York or modern Paris which appeared,to be a logo that was taken without,authorization from another website and,by the way overstock-us.com has no,affiliation with the trustworthy website,overstock.com and you might be able to,tell my voices a little off I'm getting,over a mild cold so just bear with me a,search of tick tock for the mini,projector or the mini 4K projector Tick,Tock ad scam showed that commenters all,over the place were saying they'd been,had I knew it was too good to be true,one person said another person posted,yes I ordered mine almost three days ago,and when I clicked to track my package,it showed me a link that said the store,was unavailable another person said same,they just stole my money real quick,before I continue please like this video,and feel free to subscribe to my channel,as it would help me out also check out,and comment down below to see links to,my more interesting videos about New,York history documentaries and abandoned,Island Resort on a remote island and an,abandoned town in the woods so I did a,reverse image search for the mini 4K,projector Tick Tock ad scam images and,found a listing on Amazon with prime,shipping for 58 a far cry from three,dollars Amazon Prime is trustworthy of,course as you can get a refund very,easily if the item offers returns so of,course you can buy a mini projector,online but I wouldn't do it through an,obscure website with no social media,pages that you found in a strange Tick,Tock ad especially if they claim they,are practically giving it away almost,for free a trustworthy online store,would have a good following on Facebook,and Instagram for example and you know,trustworthy online stores also aren't,created hours before you start shopping,there keep your personal information and,your financial data safe always remember,that if it seems too good to be true it,probably is if you gave out some of your,personal info or your financial data,contact your bank credit card company,whatever payment method you used they'll,advise you on what to do to secure your,accounts and we'll be able to tell you,if there's anything they can do to help,refund you your money I hope my video,helped I'm spending my own free time to,make these videos to help people out,there are so many scams out there every,day brings new scams and you can only,report on so many of them but I figured,I could do a little more on my own time,on nights and weekends even when I have,a cold like I do now as you can hear and,that's exactly what I'm doing right now,scams hurt people scams can take money,from people and not everyone has money,to spare so I hope I can help you on my,channel so again please click the like,button the Thumbs Up Button And,subscribe also feel free to check out my,creative projects about New York City,history and abandoned places in the,pinned comment down below feel free to,share your story down in the comments,below you know did you order one of,these mini 4K projector products for,three dollars or another low price have,discussions ask questions my comments,are open and thank you so much for,watching

real,product that we're actually sending to,customers those are not methods I will,be teaching on this YouTube channel at,all with that being said if you're the,guy who is somehow able to Source this,smart high-tech table for four dollars,please let me know your supplier is I,will pay a lot of money for access to,that the product in this case study was,attached to a very short-lived but,really large trend on Tick Tock the,audience for the product was a very,passionate audience and we saw this in,our aov when customers were buying all,sorts of other products related to the,main product which really helped our,margin a lot and and when we found the,product there were really no competitors,at all another thing is this product was,extremely simple very easy to source and,it was low ticket we were able to Source,it for under ten dollars and there was,no customizations done at all in terms,of how we found the products we actually,found this on Amazon's movers and,shakers and this is the movers and,shakers page pretty much it's the,biggest gainers and sales rank over the,past 24 hours so this is definitely a,great way to keep an eye out on like,really hot trending products and this,product in particular I'm not going to,say what category it was in but it was,one and two,on the movers and shakers for probably,two weeks at least and here's the search,volume for the main keyword for the,product by the way I'm using helium 10.,if you guys don't have this tool I'd,highly recommend it you can see Amazon,sales data search volume all sorts of,other things which is really insightful,for drop shippers clearly a huge spike,in search volume around early July and,that's right when we ran the products so,we got in Just In Time the main Amazon,listing was doing around 800k a month,which we were able to check that through,helium 10 and then once we found the,product we checked on competitors as I,said earlier there was literally no,competition at all we checked on all of,the ad spies there was only one store,running ads to this product and they,were using Solon creatives we then,ordered the product on Amazon and tested,it literally next to next I'll be,talking about store setup we use debut,theme and this was a very simple branded,store let me show you guys a few,examples of what I'm in mag flare is a,great example our page was very similar,to theirs,very short description Luke's reviews of,course and just make sure you're not,interrupting the customer's journey to,actually buying the product where,Felicity is another great example of,just a really clean and simple product,page don't create something that looks,scammy create a very nice branded page,with just one or two color themes I also,wouldn't worry too much about putting a,ton of photos and gifs within the,description,another great thing to have on your,product pages or your own custom images,now since this product was a very,short-term product we just scaled with,images straight off AliExpress and we,did completely fine with that our,conversion rate was very high but if you,have a more long-term product I would,highly recommend getting you know nice,high quality custom photos showing off,the products so we actually did test a,countdown timer it was actually an,inventory kind of fomo bar,um it said like there's only X units,left in stock and it worked extremely,well make sure if you do a countdown,timer or an inventory bar or whatever it,is that it looks really clean it matches,the branding on your site and it just,doesn't look scammy that's really,important we kept the offer very simple,it was just a 50 or 60 o
