so just these are some things you,can do to your store as well so product,I definitely always will recommend a,saturated product with a lower undercut,offer something where you can uh you,know price out your opponents using such,an offer like free plus shipping on a,very saturated process product that,doesn't cost a lot to supply places you,can find these products where you can,kind of see all the backing costs it's,not PP ads the only spy tool I currently,use and most likely will ever use just,because I like the analysis that it,actually does in current time again we,work in current time in this video i'm going to raise the,stakes more than ever before and try,something completely different within,the next five days i'm going to try drop,shipping with tick tock ads and give,myself a 250 budget to see how many,sales i can make and if i do not finish,with a profit by the end of these five,days then i'll shave my head,yeah i'm i'm scared so come along with,me on this journey to see if i make a,profit to buy myself a nice chipotle,burrito or if i end up having to use,this,in my last video i tried facebook,advertisements for the first time ever,on my channel and it was subpar i mean i,didn't make a profit but at least i got,a few sales however after uploading that,video i sat in my room and began to,wonder about the next big thing when all,of a sudden i got a comment from one of,you saying i should try out something,called tick-tock advertisements i,figured this was either a message from,the universe or just from user,bendover69,anyways i thought this was a fantastic,idea because i've heard running,tick-tock ads nowadays is like running,facebook ads back in 2017 aka you're,basically printing money which is,something i'd say peaks my interest but,from that point forward i was hooked now,luckily for me finding the right product,was almost too easy all i had to do was,revive it from the grave that's right,the mushroom cleaner is back baby,for those who don't know this small,desktop vacuum made me more than sixteen,hundred dollars in revenue all,organically from tiktok however long,story short i chose to take down the,store and the product because i ran into,so many issues with tick-tock's,guidelines but,i'd say it's time to run it back meaning,i got to revive my old shopify website i,built for it as well and obviously upon,your first look you may notice some,changes around the store i happened to,spend a few hours updating a lot of the,old photos to higher quality ones and,even redid the formatting of the overall,website and don't worry because this,time around i did not forget to optimize,the mobile view but that's what our,store looks like now let's take a gander,at our profit margins the overall price,of this little bad boy right here when,you factor in costs taxes and shipping,comes out to be a little more than nine,dollars so i plan on selling it for,19.95 but make shipping 3.95 that way we,are looking at 15 profit for standard,shipping and 11 if they take advantage,of the email pop-up and to save you all,some time i went ahead and filmed the,ads already for my ads i figured i'd,make three different videos with some,changes and variations like the sound,and text in terms of cost i'm setting,the daily budget to 50,and i plan on running this for five days,but i went ahead and uploaded all of,them into the campaign that i will be,running on tick tock and just like,facebook i'm gonna have to wait until,these are approved so i will see you,guys then,okay so our ads just got approved,however it is the next day but i don't,really mind because as you can see here,our account balance is being spent we've,spent 15 cents so far for 56 impressions,which is not bad at all compared to,facebook 56 impressions would be like 20,bucks so i'll take that for sure but i,will make sure to keep you all updated,so fingers crossed on this one guys it's,the end of day one and as expected with,all my challenges on this channel the,first day went and we spent only 20,instead of the full fifty because the,ads didn't become active until around,nine am anyways we only got one add to,cart and one reach checkout but no sales,however looking at our ads we were,hitting less than four dollar cpms which,is borderline insane zuck's gonna be so,mad if he sees this at the end of the,day i'm just happy that the ads are,performing the way they're supposed to,be and we haven't ran into any issues,yet high anticipations for tomorrow,though let's get it for day two i just,let the ads do their thing and checked,in on them every once in a while to make,sure everything was still up and running,i did this all day to make minor tweaks,here and there to the ads and website,but nothing too drastic yet by the end,of day two it still wasn't looking too,good for day two we spent 54 dollars on,ads to pretty much get us two add to,carts and one reached checkout but no,sales again i mean there's a decent,amount of people who have clicked on my,site but i feel like i should have,converted at least a couple by now still,nothing though it's clear that,something's wrong in my process i just,can't put my finger on it though but i'm,nearing the middle of our challenge time,and the odds of me buzzing my hair are,looking more and more likely i'm just,hoping my luck turns around soon but it,didn't day three started this basically means that,your customers can't tell your ad is an,ad until it's already too late until,they've really been roped in so that's,what's called native versus invasive,advertising very crucial to just kind of,go with the flow of traffic on Tick Tock,number three audience sizing avoid,narrow targeting big mistake that people,make trying to go into like the single,digit Millions avoid clogging up your ad,account I promise I will cover this,towards the end of this video there's,one the most important things because,you can create ad account spending,issues without even knowing what create at,ads.ticktalk.com,so once you have that set up once all of,that is created then this is where you,get two choices when it comes to,creating ads you can either do spark ads,or regular ads,for spark added to a cure for you to be,able to run a spark added this video,shall be taken only from a personal tick,tock profile it does not work with a,business account so business accounts,are pretty limited on tick tock in terms,of sounds because those sounds are,copyrighted and they may not be again,they may not be copyrighted for a,business license or they may not be,copyright free at least for business,license and it's the same thing,essentially if you want to run a spark,ad that the content in these videos they,may not be best suited for an ad or at,least this is what tick tock says so you,want to make sure you have a quote,unquote personal or creator account on,tick tock for your profile by the way,there is a way for you to switch your,profile over for one to the other if you,go into your settings you'll be able to,actually switch over to a personal or,business profile so if you're a business,that you may want to go back to personal,again for any brand e-commerce you know,e-commerce store or influencers that may,be coming across this video you want to,make sure that you have the right,profile because again you'll be pretty,limited in your capabilities when it,comes to advertising so the first things,first you're going to see on screen,right now the step one which is you're,gonna wanna head over to your settings,and head over to add authorization,settings and all you'll wanna make sure,is to turn on and toggle the switch for,ad authorization then the step two is,you'll want to head over to the actual,tick tock organic post that you've,created or that again an influencer has,created you want to click on that post,you have to be again the tick tock,account owner whenever you perform these,following steps doesn't work any video,out there and i'm saying that because,i've seen people trying to get an,authorization code from other videos out,there it has to be with your own videos,so again you head over to the video that,you want to get an ad authorization code,from so you click on that video you,click on the little three dots,essentially on your video and you click,on the toggle that has a megaphone as an,icon and that says you know add settings,what you're going to want to do from,there is accept the terms and conditions,and then turn on the toggles for sharing,your post as an ad and authorizing,brands to use your post as an ad and,then by default it'll get you an ad,authorization code that will be valid,for 30 days you can also change this,duration if you're planning on using,this for longer than 30 days you can,change it if you're planning on using it,for shorter than 30 days again you can,change that too so you change the,duration that the code is valid for and,then when that is done you can use that,code within the tick tock ads manager to,create an ad let me show you how this,works so you're gonna be seeing on,screen right now a screenshot of,basically tick talk ads manager and what,you're gonna do at the same time is,whenever you create an ad so when you,already have a campaign ad set and,you're now at the ad level you can,basically choose a bit like you would,with facebook is the new kid on the blog usually we're  heavily reliant on facebook because it's such an  ,incredible marketing tool but lots of people are  getting heaps of success with the new entertaining  ,nature of tick tock ads so it might be perfect  for your brand this video is perfect for beginners  ,we're not going to skip any steps but i'm also  going to go into some advanced things around  ,content because that is so important to make sure  that you make tick tock ads work the first step  ,you're going to want to do is set up your shopify  store if you haven't set up your shopify store  ,just pause the video click the link in my bio and  set it up now we've got one set up through our  ,lemon scrub series so it's got most of the things  ready we're just going to make sure that we set up  ,tiktok properly so the pixel is firing once you're  in shopify the best way to go is go into apps and  ,just write in tiktok simply download the official  tiktok app and click add sales channel this is the  ,exact same as facebook nowadays this will bring  up this little tick tock section down on the left  ,hand store of your shopify store if you don't have  shopify still carry on watching we're going to get  ,into the nitty gritty in a second once this is set  up we can click this section here setting up the  ,pixel the next step you can see that it's saying  connect tick tock for business this is where you  ,need a new tick tock account already have a tick  tock business account you can just click connect  ,but today we're gonna have to create a brand new  one so i'm just gonna click create new at the top  ,enter my email address get the verification code  sent into the verification code here agree to  ,terms and conditions and just click sign up you  can click connect down the bottom right and that's  ,now created an ads manager business manager under  that email we can click create new ad account and  ,we can select the country and the currency that we  want to be built in this is generally the region  ,that you want to be targeting change the business  name to something a little bit simpler click sign  ,up and connect you'll come to this data sharing  section which we've touched on a few times in my  ,previous episodes just click enhanced or maximum  providing you've got the terms and conditions set  ,up for something and then click confirm maximum  is obviously preferred this is how shopify shares  ,data with ticktock this is referred to as capi  which is a partnership between shopify and the  ,advertising platform click set up enter your final  details make sure you connect automatic payment  ,click confirm and you should be ready to go now  to create tick-tock ads we're actually going to  ,have to go back to the tick-tock ads manager so  we can go ads.tichtalk.com you can see that our  ,ad account has already been created to make sure  that we do have the pixel set up properly what i  ,do recommend is going to your website and just  like facebook there's something called tic toc  ,pixel helper and it's a chrome extension that you  can download and check if your pixel is firing  ,on your website if it's not you may need to go  and fix that initially just download the chrome  ,extension and you can see that our tick tock pixel  is set up here shopify set it up for us and it  ,should be firing this is a page view because we're  on a page when you add a product to cart it should  ,fire the add to cart pixel or if someone purchases  you can test a purchase and it will also fire that  ,pixel in the exact right way so now we're in  the tiktok ads account we can go ahead and  ,create our first campaign campaign structures  are really important to talk about it's what  ,separates good advertisers from on,thousands of different accounts this is,actually the way that we come up with,strategies that work for us we have a,sheet that looks like this and you can,easily come up with a spreadsheet where,you have a base control testing strategy,like this one right here where you have,five ad groups three of them with,interest two no targeting and how you,can develop your strategy over time,especially when you're doing a lot of,tests is you can introduce a little bit,of chaos with having an independent,variable so for us when we're doing,split testing we always will do one,variable changing from our original,control group so in this instance with,this top column we did us with australia,for the targeting instead of us and,canada and then what we would do is,measure the results these are all fake,numbers by the way we would do this over,and over and over again over the course,of multiple months and this is how i,actually came up with this exact,strategy this isn't just me oh well i,think this is what's gonna work no this,is proven how you can actually develop a,strategy that works over time and you,can also do other split tests like doing,a combination of number one number five,so that would be us with australia while,also doing a cbo on to mark all of the,data because at the end of the day,you're gonna be biased and if you don't,have the numbers guiding your decisions,you're not gonna make good decisions,when it comes to media buying because,it's all based on numbers and not your,emotions so this has helped us scale,brands like this one right here by getting,you set up here first things first,you're going to want to make a pixel and,you're going to want to set this up on,your Ecommerce site,so if you're not familiar what the pixel,does is it tracks important actions that,your customers are taking like if,someone's adding something to their cart,for example now the reason that we need,the tick tock pixel is because you're,going to need the data that it's,collecting to create retargeting ads so,that you can Target very specific people,so for example let's say The Tick Tock,pixel tracks all the people that visit,your website you can later retarget,website visitors with another ad that,gives them a coupon code and then maybe,they'll finally decide to make that,purchase,so to install a tick tock pixel click,assets and then click event,click manage under the website pixel,click create pixel and then name it your,Shopify store name so Shopify has,actually made it really easy to install,this piece of code with one click so,what you're going to do is you're going,to click this button right here,and then hit connect with Shopify,okay cool that's done now we're going to,hit next,and now let's go over to shopify's App,Store and make sure that we actually,have the tick tock app installed this,app is literally just called Tick Tock,and then the app is just buy Tick Tock,Inc okay so Tick Tock Inc,and then you're going to add the sales,channel here like this after that you're,going to connect your Shopify account to,your Tick Tock and you're good make sure,that you have the right ads manager,account selected here then hit connect,select the pixel that we've just made,together a minute ago just like this and,then hit connect,select your Target locations depending,on where in the world you're selling to,you're going to also want to add a,payment method and then when you go back,to tick tock you can click this button,right here that confirms that you have,set the pixel up in Shopify,after this the Shopify pixel will show,up you also want to make sure that,you're setting up your conversion,tracking so we're going to go into the,create events page and then from here,you can create events using two,different tracking methods you've got,URL keywords or web elements okay so we,have click events so click events are,going to count every time someone clicks,on a specific element on your website so,this could be like adding something to,cart or submitting a form and buttons,and links are also going to be tracked,with click events then we have URL,events okay URL events count user visits,to specific pages so like you might want,to track when people view a specific,product page for example so all that,being said I'm going to show you how to,create a click event,select the appropriate event type for,this URL event okay so under advanced,settings you have the option to name,this event okay so give it a name and,then you're also going to input a,currency so that you can track how well,your ads are doing
