hey everybody this is rahat from,shoppydevs welcome back to our channel,today i'm going to show you,how to remove search icon on your,shopify store,generally you will find,search icon in almost,every shopify themes,and if you don't want search icon in,your shopify store you have to remove it,this is my shopify store,and you can see the search icon here,so,i'll remove it today,and i'm going to show you two different,methods that you can use to remove,search icon,so let's start with the first one,first you have to inspect the icon,and you will see the code responsible,for showing this,search icon,so now you have to go to the style tab,here,and click on plus icon,and now you have to write,some additional code,like this,so as you can see after writing the code,the button has gone,so,writing code here will not change,uh the button permanently so what i'm,going to do is,placing the additional code,in inside my shopify themes,so in order to do that i need to go back,to my shopify,backend,and here from the shopify dashboard go,to,online store,then themes,and then click on actions,and then go to edit code,here i need to find,base dot css,and i will scroll down,and go to the,end of the page,and here i will place the additional,code,i will,put the additional code in the,description so,you don't need to worry about it,just place the code exactly i'm doing,here,and then click on save,now let's check the front end of our,store,as you can see,the button,is gone,so that means,our method worked,let's see the second method of removing,search icon,if the first one is not working for you,or you want a different one then you can,try this method,again you need to,inspect the search icon,and find the code responsible for,showing the icon,but we are not going to add any code,here,instead of doing that we are going to,search for this class,so,i'll go to the back end of my shopify,store,and then go to,themes,actions,and then edit code,now i'm going to look for,header dot,liquid,and here i'll search for,the class this one,and now,what we have to do is select,this portion,of code,and,you can delete it or you can keep it as,comments,like this,so that means this portion will not be,active,and then click on save,now go back to the front end of our,store,and you can see the button disappeared,so these are the two methods that you,can use to,remove the search icon of your shopify,store,and it's totally up to you which one you,prefer,and we have also written an article,regarding this topic,so you can also check it out,i'll put the link in the description box,so,if you like this video give us a thumbs,up,subscribe to our channel and keep,watching our videos,you
