hi everyone i just wanted to show you,today how to add,alt text or alt tags,to your images on your shopify,store um alt tags are,reading tools to describe your image to,visually impaired readers and they also,allow search engines,to crawl and rank your website or google,spiders as i call them,so what you need to do is you need to,this is just the home page of the back,end of my shopify,i'm going to go to products here and,you'll get a drop down,menu and i go to collections,and i'm going to work on this,makeup bag and so you've got the,collection,image i'm going to work on the,collection,of the makeup bags and then i'm going to,work on a product so you go to the,collection image and,edit and then edit image alt text,and here is where you are going to,type in,any relevant keywords really,mum makeup case mom gift,mom gift if you want to make it american,and you get the idea you can,you can add as many as you want in there,save,that and save again up there so that's,how you do the collection,and then you can also well you also need,to,within your collections you'll see your,individual,products i'm working very hard,getting this website up to to be able to,launch it at the moment,um so this is how you do an individual,product,so you go on the product and,scroll down to the image and there's no,obvious,way of editing this here so what you,need to do is,just left click on the image and you'll,find the add alt,text here,and that's where you,will add your alt text with,commas in between uh,selfie k makeup bag,makeup,case et cetera et cetera,save and then we can,close out of that so it said it's saved,and that's how you do,that so um very easy,please subscribe and like this video if,you do,thank you very much see you on the next,one
