hello everybody my name is Ian Lamont,today I'll be talking about how to add,social media elements to your Shopify,site and here's what I'm talking about,here's my Shopify website you go to the,bottom you'll see this little text thing,it says follow us and it has the,Facebook link and this is actually the,link to my facebook page easy GDP easy,genie Facebook page but I also have a,Twitter account now I'll show you what,it looks like whoops looks like this,yeah it's at easy genie okay and I want,to add that to my Twitter account and,here's how to do it so first go to your,actually let's get to the right place,here okay go to your Shopify console,you'll come to this page this is your,home page you want to click on online,store okay if it's not selected select,themes okay and then you'll be selecting,selecting customize I'm gonna point that,out again because some people they,actually when I first started using,Shopify I thought I could change stuff,by going to navigation or preferences to,add social media that's not the case you,have to go to customize for the theme so,click customize and by the way this is a,one of the free themes that Shopify,offers it mate,social media may be set up in different,ways if you're using a paid theme okay,so let's take a look at the theme,settings you'll see that social media is,one of the options click on that there's,a list of accounts Twitter Facebook you,can see my Facebook page right there,Pinterest Google+ Instagram snapchat,tumblr YouTube Vimeo so I might want to,go through and start to add like I have,a youtube channel add that at RSS I'm,just gonna add Twitter if you know what,your Twitter account is do not just add,the handle you actually need to put in,the whole URL so that won't work if you,don't know what it is just go to the,Twitter page of where it's located and,being pasted so I'm gonna select,twitter.com slash easy genie you can,either do a keyboard shortcut ctrl C or,command C or go to edit copy okay and,then go back to your soft Shopify,interface delete that and then go to,edit paste or control control V or,command V to paste it there it is then,click save changes saved let's take a,look and see what the website looks like,now so before it only had the Facebook,icon let's reload that and there we go,there's a Twitter icon now and if I,clicked on that it would go to the ez GD,Twitter page for more information on how,to get the most out of your Shopify site,Amazon seller central Amazon KDP I have,a website called lean media org where I,talk about all these things on the blog,and also on the video area my name is,Ian Lamont thank you so much for,watching
