welcome back to another video people and,in this video we're going to talk about,how to,um change your footer background so,i was able to do it on my website um,it's a little a little crazy right now,but,i'm gonna show you guys what it look,like when the footer just this bottom,section right here,when it has a cool looking background or,a background i don't know if it's gonna,be all that cool but,we're gonna just show you guys how to do,it you probably have a better picture to,me i'm going to use any picture that i,can find,and we're going to see what happens uh,let me,before i start i'm just trying to find a,cool background that i could use,uh let's just do this banana i want to,be bright and easy to see,this is called a banana,downloads i like making stuff.jpg,i don't know if it matters it usually,doesn't but we're gonna see,all right we're back on this so what you,do to start is go to online store,right on the left side then you got,themes,and then under themes you see brooklyn,we have the brooklyn live this,isn't password protected it's gonna be,the live site,if you have a password protected website,i'm not sure if this will work but it,should,um but yeah we're gonna click on actions,and then go to edit code,uh yes leave i don't i don't care about,any changes,and from here you don't worry about the,template stuff,what you do is we have this file open,all it is is the theme,let's try to zoom in a little bit it's,just theme.scss.liquid on the side,you just click on that let's put this at,100 and under,assets section you just add a new asset,so we're gonna we're gonna upload that,banana thing,that i just got the banana picture,you're gonna just click,add new asset click the file and then,upload,so we have the banana one here and we're,going to use that for our footer image,so,you're going to come back into the theme,dot c s c s,s and then scroll all the way to the,bottom,as you can see we we have some code,right here,if you haven't seen my other video i,show you guys how to add,how to change the full page's background,like how this is,show you how to change that whole,background just watch this watch the,video on that,um i probably have like an annotation or,something linked to it,but yeah when you get a chance check,that out next but for this video we're,gonna just,stick to this um so,the code should be in the description,uh yeah i'm gonna make sure it's in the,description you're just gonna come all,the way to the bottom,so with yours you'll probably just see,this this is probably what you say just,order discount wrapper and then nothing,below it,so we're going back to 100 so,you're going to take the code in the,description and paste it,paste that code here so the only thing,you're changing here is the file,you're going to use your file so i'm,going to change this one which is,burgerfry's,jpg let me change that to banana,and then banana bar,asset url and then you save it,and what we're gonna do is come back to,here refresh,and the background thing's gone because,i got rid of it but,as you can see we got the bananas at the,bottom let's see what happens if we,say cover,we want to type in background,and background size,if this work i'm adding to the,description so you don't have to worry,about adding this,i just want to see if this is going to,work or not because i kind of don't like,the repeating,but we'll see uh it stretched it,if it looks good with your image you can,keep that in if not,just take this and delete this line of,code,background size cover just delete that,if the other one looks good to you,and that's basically how you do this,uh if you have a website that you're,getting an image off of so like this,like apexels.com you will come to the,image on pixels,click on it then right click on it and,click copy,image you can copy image address sorry,yes,you would just do that copy image,address and then you'll come back over,and then you'll get rid of the asset url,section,you'll just delete it from the code,boom it should make it a lot shorter and,then you take where your files at and in,between those quotes,you'll paste the um url for that image,so it'll be like this it'll be like a,quote the link and then,quote to end it and,save it and this should change,the url at the bottom of your page yep,so now it's a dolphin,let me take that cover thing off because,i want to see if it's going to show the,whole thing,so what we got,oh it's just i guess it's too big of an,image so you can mess around with the,sizes of your images and all that stuff,they have websites that resize your,images whatever you need,um don't forget to like subscribe i hope,this helped you guys,leave it in the comments if it did and,if you have,any other videos you want me to make i'm,not doing any premium,shopify themes i'm only doing a free one,so if you have a free one and you need,help with it,let me know and i'll try to make a video,if i can find out the answer for it,so thanks for watching guys and i'll see,you the next one,peace
