flavor Doritos brand tortilla,chips one heck of a crunch,this is a Dorito,it is a triangle of mashed up corn that,is baked fried and coated with a magical,cheesy powder,this orange dust is a mix of garlic,Romano cheese and cheddar cheese we got,a total of 25 different ingredients on,here and in the case of Cool Ranch no,other chip tastes like cool ranch it's,basically the same ingredients like cool,ranch has a couple of things that I,can't really pronounce here like sodium,acetate disodium,inocinate inocinate disodium,guanylate and crucially both of these,bags plus Becky's Canadian flavor,contain a magic powder called monosodium,glutamate a mysterious thing that I,think is at the center of why I love,this so much and why I want it for,breakfast,Hmm,this is really delicious,this magic ingredient was invented in,Japan 100 or so years ago when this,Japanese chemist was supposedly trying,to figure out why his wife's soup tasted,so damn good he did a bunch of Science,and realized that it was this strip of,kelp which is basically like seaweed but,technically it's not seaweed it's kelp,this was the key ingredient he saw his,wife put this strip of kelp in boiling,water at the it's being replaced from now on,the shorts Creator fund will be replaced,with YouTube ads for shorts and with,YouTube super thanks also allowing you,to be paid on your YouTube shorts from,donations from your fans super thanks,for YouTube shorts is already being,rolled out to existing YouTube partners,and everybody in the YouTube Partner,program will be eligible for YouTube,super thanks on their YouTube shorts as,well as YouTube shorts ad Revenue so if,you're already monetized in the YouTube,Partner program you're going to be,grandfathered in to both of these now if,you're not familiar YouTube super thanks,are donations from your fans very,similar to the YouTube super chats,during live streams this is a 70 30,Revenue split between YouTube and the,content creators with the content,creator getting the 70 percent basically,if you get a five dollar donation you'll,be getting three dollars and fifty cents,with regard to YouTube shorts ads,YouTube shorts ads will be rolled out to,everyone who is already in the YouTube,Partner program and qualifies you won't,have to do anything else or meet new,requirements if you're already in the,YouTube Partner program however the,YouTube Partner program is expanding and,offering an alternative path to,monetization typically in the YouTube,Partner program to receive ad Revenue as,well as all the other YouTube,monetization features you need 1 000,subscribers and 4 000 hours of watch,time however shorts content creators,will have an alternative path to,monetization this means it's an either,or you can go the traditional route and,get the 4 000 hours of watch time and,the 1000 subscribers and that's four,thousand hours in 12 months or 365 days,whatever the previous 365 days is or you,can can go another route the shorts,crater route would be that you would get,the 1000 subscriber requirement and 10,million shorts views in 90 days however,in a recent update to this announcement,YouTube has decided to retroactively,allow any shorts creators who have the,10 million views to be included in the,YouTube Partner program when this goes,live so that means if you get 10 million,shorts views before the new announcement,Rolls live with YouTube ads for shorts,you will be also qualified for the,YouTube Partner program as long as you,still have the 1000 subscriber,requirement originally this was not,going to be the case but I'm glad that,YouTube listened to creators and that,they changed their mind on this decision,now if that still seems attainable there,is some good news YouTube is creating a,lower tier of YouTube monetization and I,will be doing a dedicated video on that,this lower tier monetization will not be,the YouTube Partner program it will be,called YouTube and funding and with,YouTube fan funding what is going to,happen is you will qualify for YouTube,super thanks super Chats on live streams,super stickers and YouTube channel,memberships all of these have a 70 30,split and these come directly from your,fans in the form of donations this will,mean that your fans can support you not,only with their eyeballs but with their,wallets directly and it gives more,creators the more crazy YouTube news,like this YouTube shorts are getting,monetized now like officially monetized,before they had the YouTube shorts fund,which is basically they just got a bunch,of money gathered up to pay the top,shorts creators but now YouTube shorts,are able to be monetized like officially,which I think is like great they pretty,much have destroyed Tick Tock by doing,this like creators have an incentive now,to post on YouTube shorts rather than,Tick Tock because honestly The Tick Tock,fund or whatever it it's pretty bad like,it's limited to certain regions and not,everyone gets it it's just pretty bad so,YouTube doing this is definitely a huge,win for YouTube short it's like holy,crap so let's go over what's new so yeah,they have the shorts fund but now there,is new ways to monetize coming in 2023,so YouTube says that there will now be,ads shown in the shorts feed which have,happens on Tick Tock like you scroll,through and an ad pops up kind of like,on Snapchat how you look through the,brand stuff and there's ads I personally,don't do that because the ads are way,too frequent on Snapchat it's so,annoying so these ads will show up in,between shorts this will give creators,like you a more sustainable option to,grow with short form content heck yeah,dude there's also going to be super,thanks for shorts which hey that's great,if people want to donate they can Tick,Tock does have something like that I,think but this is where it gets even,better Creator music spice up your,videos with music without missing out on,Revenue so you can use copyrighted music,in YouTube shorts now and no one will,care because it's kind of like how Tick,Tock has sounds you know YouTube is,adding music so you can use copyrighted,music and it won't matter at all but it,kind of comes to a detriment here all,right basically all the money generated,from the ads will go to people who get a,lot of views on their shorts so not,everyone will get paid for it but if you,get a lot of views on shorts you will,get paid right but a big chunk of that,money does go towards paying for the,music licenses so YouTube takes their,cut the music Brands take their cut and,then creators get the rest which I don't,like that's a bit much especially for,people who aren't even using copyrighted,music like hey it's an option I probably,won't utilize it though so it's kind of,lame right that that part's like uh dude,but hey at least there is going to be,monetization for this which I'm very,excited for I'm actually gonna go,hardcore with shorts as well as normal,content because hey it's the way of the,future I gotta sort of get used to,making shorts I guess you know,everyone's doing it so you gotta jump on,the bandwagon right but it is awesome,still that they're doing this and I,guess in a way it is nice it is a big,fix to the copyright crap if they could,add that to main videos that might be,nice in a way maybe they should just,have it so that creators who use the,copyrighted music will get a cut taken,away from the payout you know that goes,towards the brands the people who don't,use it won't have to pay it that might,be an easy fix to that but but maybe,there's like not enough money for that,right but this news will also change the,YouTube Partner program eligibility,which is awesome I remember back in the,day when the new requirements were set,it was pretty bad it was rough you know,so you will now need a thousand,subscribers and 4 000 public watch hours,in the last 12 months that's the old,requirements that's just that's normal,but instead of 4 000 hours you could,also have instead of that 10 million,valid public shorts views in the last 90,days which is a lot better now look,shorts get a lot more views regardless,because they're so quick and fast people,watch more and more of them so that's,actually not too bad I'd say those are,pretty equal last 90 days 10 million,it's pretty doable so this new Revenue,thing will replace the YouTube shorts,fund which does make sense because this,one's actually like generating Revenue,so that's all right it says each month,revenue from these ads will be added,together and used to reward shorts,creators and help cover cost of music,licensing so YouTubers will get 45 of,the revenue but that's after the music,people have taken their Cuts so it isn't,it isn't a true 45 right no matter if,they use music in the shorts uh I don't,know dude this Revenue will be,distributed to creators based on the,number of views their shorts get in each,country so it's all based on Country,which yeah that makes sense but you,don't need to make crazy amount of views,you just have to get you know good views,yeah I'm super excited and pumped about,this this means a lot more people are,gonna make a
